My Organic object is a slimcado, a slim avocado grown in florida. My slimcado is an oval shaped green object that is heavy compared to other produce. It has some darker discoloration covering the whole vegetable. The outside of the slimcado has a very smooth texture, almost like the outside of a watermelon. It is relatively dense and weighs about the same as a tennis ball. I’ve never heard about or tried a slimcado, I’m very excited to do so.

Today is Sunday, also the day I got to cut open my slimcado. My slimcado is brown on the outside, before it was green. Now my slimcado is extremely mushy and has lost all of its density. When I cut open my slimcado it was very much like what I expected. The inside was very rotten, mushy, and gross. Since I got my slimcado at the beginning of the week, and now it’s the end of the week, my slimcado is very distressed and tired. Similar to how I feel at the end of the week, tired and ready to start the next. Finishing my last entry made me realize a few things, everyday is different, and that I want to try a ripe slimcado.
I think your choice in fruit is very unique and I enjoyed reading the process of you cutting open your slimcado because it was funny.
Thank you so much for the input, you thoughts are something i take it to high consideration!
I really like how you described the slimcado. I am able to get a vivid image of the fruit when you say sentences like, “My slimcado is an oval shaped green object that is heavy compared to other produce.”
Your second entry was very entertaining. Also, when you called the slimcado’s appearence, “distressed and tired,” it was funny. Keep up the good work!
Ellee, I like the connection you make between the slimcado’s devolution over the course of the week and your own. I can relate. It reminds me of the eventual connection Philip makes between himself and the melting snow in our first college essay. Way to stick with this slimcado despite, well, everything.
