Miss Sand Pear’s Journey

The bruises on my pear look like the ones on my butt. Although mine are from falling on rocks, and my pear’s from being slammed around in my backpack. The freckled-like bugs have formed colonies npw. It feels duller than before. Maybe from being trapped in the scorching heat of my car. I feel like I abused my sand pear. I’m sorry. The shape of my pear once perfectly sphere-like now reminds me of a melting chocolate. Maybe it was baking in the heat of my car. I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. My pear looks delicious. The butt of it looks bruised, just like mine.

Miss pear looks some what the same. The bruises have darkened, and the lively pastel yellow has faded. The stem reminds me of the Fourth of July. The tip is burnt black like that of a burning firework wick. Last Fourth of July was eventful, like this pear. It’s the middle of the night, and I’m hungry. Thus yellow  sack doesn’t look too appealing as it use to. Kind of like an ex-boyfriend you realize is trash as days pass… I guess that’s why he’s an ex. I’m over sharing. I’ve realized how dumb this whole entry sounds. Goodnight.

  1. I like how you gave the pear a name. The comparison with the bruises on the pear helped tell me how similar traits you both have with one another. It was interesting how you were able to relate back to the pear with Fourth of July. I really enjoyed how personified the pear as an ex boyfriend and ended your entry with goodnight.

  2. I love how you described your fruit! The way you related it to your butt and ex boyfriend really caught my attention. I thought your entry was creative and unique and the bunny on your blog really puts it all together.

  3. What a delight! You kind of out Cristined Christine of Christine’s Cucumber, complete with your almost apologetic sign-off. The lively comparisons with July Fourth and melting chocolate really work. But I’m sorry about the bug colonies!

  4. I like the metaphors and analogies that you used to describe your fruit. I like how you connected the fruit to yourself and to your ex boyfriend, and the end of your entry made me giggle. 🙂
