Before writing this I had to take a good hard look at my pear. I decided to name my pear Sal. I picked this name because he kinda looks serious in some ways but at the same time sal doesn’t. Sals personality is simple, he doesn’t try to show of like the other exotic fruits. He’s low key and undercover. Sal looks like an apple because of his shape, but on the inside he’s a pear. After bringng sal to school and being in my stuffed back pack for a day he’s obtained some scars. I belive that these scars complement sal the pears personality and his light and yellow spots. I think it makes him look more mature.

I think today is the day to try sal, the Brown Skined Asian Pear. In some ways it feels wrong to eat Sal. It’s almost equivalent to a cow boy in the mid west. Cow boys didn’t name their horses on purpose because their might be a chance they have to eat it if they run out of food and get stranded. On the other hand, if they do name their horse, they can’t eat it because it’s like a pet now. I kinda feel the same way with Sal. I gave him a name and better yet a personality. Never the less Im not the one to leave anyone on a clif hanger so I will have to make the hard decisison and eat Sal the Brown Skined Asian Pear. After I took my first two bites, I was very confused. I was definelty expecting this pear that was over $4 to taste better. It still had the taste of a pear but it was very bland. I guess I was right about sal the Brown Skined Asian Pears personality after all. Bland.
