kiwi

How can something so ugly on the outside be so beautiful on the inside. This kiwi is definitely a humble fruit. It is so strange that it is hairy on the outside and it make me quite uncomfortable because food should not have hair, it is weird. A small compact object that just does what it wants. It is brown and hairy on the outside, but the beauty is on the inside. Its vibrant green color is just so whimsical.  This fruit is very confusing to me, but its uniqueness makes it incomparable to another. It is definitely the most interesting and has a lot of personality.

The kiwi is so intriguing because it hides to true self from the world. It is looking a little more sad because time has past and it is aging like everyone else. I still do not fully understand this kiwi, but I am coming to accept it for how it is. I like how it does not care what everyone thinks about it because it know it’s true self and its worth.

  1. I like on the 9/1/2022 how you start describing the non interest on the outside of your kiwi but love the beauty on the inside of your kiwi. It’s also interesting to understand you observing the kiwi, which reminds me of when I was watching my object and feeling conflicted on how to understand it.

  2. I love how you went into detail about how it is hairy and what it feels like. But you also went into detail about how its personality. I think the best part is how you were talking about you not understanding it and saying that it doesn’t care about what people think.

  3. You’ve made me associate the kiwi with shy people I’ve known, people with a gift that is too precious to hawk or to put on display. I’m often surprised by the truly modest: their reticence is somehow life-giving. Your piece conjured all that up for me. Thank you for that.
