One useful (and fun) source that I have stumbled upon in my research on the search for aliens is an article titled, “YES, ALIENS (PROBABLY) EXIST.” This article essentially summarizes the search for aliens and what scientists might consider during this process. One impactful method that the author uses to support her claim that aliens probably exist is that there are more stars in the sky than there are grains of sand on Earth. I do believe that that is a rather large number of stars, each with their own solar systems and planets with moons. That leaves a very large chance that just one of those celestial bodies contains extraterrestrial life. The article also questions our knowledge about where aliens might be located. One might assume that the best place to look is in other planets that are similar to Earth. However, we simply do not have enough knowledge about what kind of life might exist outside of our own planet. There could be some really cool life on planets that we would never expect.
Overall, this source is helpful for my research question because it gives me a very good tool for what topics I could contemplate on the subject of searching for aliens. There are a lot of subjects and perspectives that I initially did not have upon choosing the topic of alien discovery. Now, I have a better understanding of what topics I should include in my paper and how this will help me word my thesis.
Even with all of the technology that scientists are equipped with, we really just have no idea how close we are to finding extraterrestrial life. However, I agree with the author that we do have the technology to find alien life, and I really hope that this happens in my lifetime. It wouldn’t be fun if the aliens were mean, though.

This seems like an extremely interesting topic and enjoyed reading about how you felt about the article. I wish you touched lightly on certain findings in the article to entice the reader a little more. With that being said, I found it interesting how you prompted the thought of maybe aliens aren’t where we think they are. Overall, this was a great blog post.:)
Woah. This post made me really question if aliens do actually exist. I enjoyed how you used the strategy of humor in you post, it made it fun to read. One thing I would like clarification on is the “technologies” you mention that scientist can use to (maybe) discover aliens. If you could list a few examples that would be great!
This seems like an interesting topic to research and I wonder if aliens actually do exist. I liked how the article said “that aliens probably exist is that there are more stars in the sky than there are grains of sand on Earth.” I liked how the author uses this particular quote to backup her claim. Overall, I enjoyed reading what you thought of the article, and your reaction used humor. I thoughtthat was a good touch.
Aliens probably do exist! Although they may not be the humanoid-esque beings we commonly interpret them as. I remember learning about certain types of bacteria that can survive in the outreaches of space. Likewise, grandiose ice caps located on Mars and the ice-covered moons like Callisto, Ganymede and Europa may support some kind of life within the oceans that may be located under the sheets. Maybe we’ll find out in our lifetimes if efficient technological advancements with satellites and drilling tools occur.
Justin, I found your research topic very intriguing. I, myself, have also wondered about the probability of life on other planets. I think you did a great job presenting the information. When you said we do not have enough knowledge an extraterrestrial life to know where to search for them, that also got me thinking. Maybe aliens live in hotter temperatures or underwater. Maybe there necessities of survival are extremely different to ours. Lastly, I like you how you used a bit of humor in your last line, and I agree, it would NOT be fun at all.
This post made me question myself if aliens were real or not. I am very intrigued in this topic and give you applause for choosing such a great one. It is so scary to believe that if aliens exist or not, but overall a great topic.
This seem like a really interesting research topic as it is a l more hypothetical than a lot of other research questions. One thing I would recommend you look into is the goldilocks zone. As it describes the area around a star that can support liquid water and therefore could support life.
