The news article I analyzed for my topic question analyzes certain aspects of modern technology involved in cellular biology. The author talks about how technology has improved in so many fields but most significantly in molecular biology. This has allowed us to explore many more organisms than ever before. One major driver of technological innovations is in light microscopy. Never before seen cameras allow scientists to analyze organisms and backlog video back to certain points of the organism. These cameras can come built into the microscope but there are now also attachable ones. This has had a significant impact on research in light microscopy and how we can solve problems and cure diseases.
I thought that this article was fascinating and confirmed my beliefs that complex microscopes are vitally important in the field of biology. My research question relates to this by how technology can improve microscopes. My research question is: “Can certain highschool microscopes be improved by adding high quality cameras, to the already existing microscopes, for student scientists to be able to save pictures and analyze them easier than in the machines?” The article justifies this answer by saying just how important new technology is in light microscopy. With this said, it is proof that these microscopes in High Schools will be much more useful and beneficial with this new technology.

I agree with your reasoning and I think that microscopes are very important for biology, and they are very interesting forms of technology. I really like your research topic because I have never really thought much about the technology and equipment of microscopes, but now I am encouraged to learn more about the topic.
This topic is such a great topic because it can be implemented into schools. Why don’t schools already have these cameras for the microscopes in high schools? Are these cameras expensive or do the schools not know about them? This information that you researched could help the science departments at school increase their knowledge in science classes. It could help students learn and apply more of what they learned in science class to actual labs. Do you think there are other methods to get this level of clarity from a microscope? This is such a fascinating topic.
I agree that the microscopes are a very important part of biology and that they should be included in classrooms.
