A kiwi can be pretty messy to carry around. Pieces of it break off and all of its little hairs are everywhere. Why does it have to be so hairy? I feel like smooth fruits are more appetizing. The green inside makes up for it I guess. But the little black seed can throw you off guard. Kiwi are also really messy on the inside. Once you cut and scoop into it, juices start flying everywhere. There needs to be a better method to eat them. Not kid friendly at all.
I feel like I didn´t bond that much with my kiwi like I wanted to. I never got to name them or show them off. I didn’t see kiwi that much over the weekend so I never got to learn about anything new. The most I talked about was how the kiwi (fruit) is similar to the kiwi (bird). Which now I realize doesn’t even make sense. Anyway, I also explained how kiwis are messy inside and out. Pretty much everything I thought I would talk about. It was a pretty weird experience but also a quick thinking one.
I’m sorry you didn’t get to name your kiwi, you could still name it now? I think a kiwi was an interesting fruit to bring along; I agree, it is an odd fruit to bring around. I’m surprised you didn’t pick a more appealing/smooth object. I like your idea of a better method to eating kiwis, I’ve never had one but I don’t think I want one if I’m going to get splattered with juices and seeds. I like your connection between the fruit and the bird, it makes a little sense, they have the same name. 🙂
I 100% agree with you!! Kiwis are good but not good enough to make up for how difficult they are to eat. Do you still have the kiwi? Because I think that there’s still a chance for you two to become close if you want. I like your comparison to the kiwi bird! I hadn’t thought of that.
I agree that kiwis are NOT kid friendly. I don’t even trust myself to eat one let alone a child. I feel like the kiwi wants to be accepted for his bad hair days, but at the same time, can it not shed so much… Honestly, kiwis kind of make me mad. Like, they taste good but they’re crunchy…? Why is a fruit that’s smooth on the inside crunchy? I just don’t get it.
I can feel the dislike you have for this kiwi, especially when you said “they are messy inside and out.” I agree that kiwis are annoying to eat. The hair is weird on them. I dont get how they are so hairy…its strange.

It would have generated too much mess for my parents.
