The article discusses a surgery that was performed by a robot without any human assistance. This provides valuable evidence that can support my thesis, and further information regarding this study may be pursued to gain even more evidence. Furthermore, the article’s discussion of machine learning and its usefulness for robotic surgery means it is an avenue that can be explored to better understand robotic surgery and provide more evidence to help answer the question. Though it does not really change the research question, the article opens new doorways for further exploration of the topic.

I found it really interesting that a robot was able to perform surgery all by itself! I find it interesting that robots are already being used in such surgeries. I have been hearing about AI more and more recently, and I know that with AI, technology can learn and adapt almost like a human could, but until now, I always thought that robots would only be performing simple surgeries. It’s interesting how robots have the capability to be able to perform surgeries better than humans. I find this topic something that would really benefit our future, however I do feel like there would be some precautions. For example, robots have the chance of malfunctioning or shutting down because they are technology nevertheless. Presenting some sort of alternative to counter this claim would probably strengthen your essay by a ton. However all in all, the topic is very scientific and source you chose looks like it can benefit you a lot in exploring the addition of AI into the field of surgery.
