Progress on Artwork #2

In my second spread for my second artwork focused around chromophobia, I worked through the composition I want to execute in my piece. I made the background of the first page from famous artworks from my inspiration Jackson Pollock, Georgia O’Keefe, and Andy Warhol. On my second page I developed the thumbnail that I thought presented the strongest composition and overall qualities. I decided that I wanted to create my piece from a combination of my bottom two inspiration photos in my first spread. I want to have an abstract and colorful background with a black/gray scale figure fading into the color. I plan to use acrylic paint as my media.

  1. I really like how you used you inspiration as the background of your pages. It was a creative touch and brings a lot of interest to you page. I also like how you used a lot of color in you background to fit with your next project idea. For your project, I think that you should consider making the focus of your piece slightly off centered to create a stronger composition.
