100 Word Challenge #9

^Prompt photo^

Hello everyone!  Today I have a 100 word writing challenge.  Today’s prompt is a photo!  There was an added challenge to today’s blog post. The challenge was to add a dialogue exchange within your story.  I wanted to push myself, and I am proud of the outcome.  For some odd reason, this story reminds me of a mystery book with kids that solve playground crimes.  Anyways, happy reading!

“Hey, What is that thing?” I said to a girl sitting on a bench.

“Oh, it’s just a statue of a previous mayor,” the girl answered.

“Well, why is he so important?” I questioned.

“I don’t know and I don’t care!  Just because everyone else thinks it’s amazing doesn’t mean it’s true!”  Said the combative girl.

What does she mean by amazing?  This girl was obviously holding a grudge against whoever this man was.  I would probably be wasting my time, but I have to get to the bottom of this.  This is the start of a new adventure! The only problem is where do I start?

Yay, you finished!  Hopefully you enjoyed this story and felt like you were reading the intro of a mystery book.  If you have suggestions or thoughts, leave them in the comments below.  While you’re down there, leave your blog URL if you have one so I can check it out. 100 Word Challenge #8

Hey everyone!  Can you believe it’s already the 8th story I’ve written for this challenge?  I guess time flies when you’re having fun.  Before you read, I wanted to thank my teacher Mrs. Rombach for subscribing by email to my blog!  Now she will get notified every time I post a new post like this.  Happy reading!

I like to use lots of colors in my art, and today I challenged myself to only use one.  There are so many to choose from, but the orange one spoke first. I dipped the soft bristles into the silky paint.  A meandering trail of light follows the brush along the canvas.  I splattered paint in the blank spaces, and I blended different shades together into one.  The layers of paint created a bumpy texture.    The enthusiasm of this color has inspired me to step out of the box, and think more creatively.

Hopefully you enjoyed this week’s blog post!  If you have feedback or thoughts, comment them down below.  While you’re down there, leave your blog URL if you have one so I can check it out.  If you would like to get notified every time I post, then subscribe by email in the sidebar.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge #7

Hey everyone!  I have another 100 word challenge for you.  Today’s story is based on medieval times, and inspired by rapunzel.  I hope you enjoy the story because I really enjoyed writing this one.  If you like these challenges, make sure to enter your email in the sidebar so you get notified every time I post.  The five prompt words for this week are balloon, brown, frightening, never, and kicked. Happy reading!

With the invention of the hot air balloon,  it was easier to travel to other territories, and I had no clue how to work such equipment. I was sent on a quest to retrieve a brown satchel from an enemy nation traveling by balloon.  This job was frightening, and I never imagined I would be chosen by the king for this daunting  journey. As a young lad I was kicked around and told I would become an old servant.  I have defied thy destiny and shall not let my past stand in the way of thy future.

Yay!  You made it!  If you liked this story, make sure to subscribe to my blog.  Also, comment your thoughts and blog URL down below so I can check it out.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

One Little Word

The word I chose was soul.  I chose this word for many reasons.  Soul is my middle name and I think fits me perfectly.  I chose soul because this year I want to take care of my mental health and live each day to the fullest.  I chose to draw things around Soul that represent what I want to accomplish this year.

I think this word will inspire me this year because it has a special meaning to me.  Soul is a part of who I am and knowing my word is soul will make me feel obligated to complete my goals for myself.  Knowing that this word has lots meaning, completing my goals for this year will make me feel much more accomplished.  With all of that being said I need to make sure that I plan out my goals so I can accomplish them efficiently. The plan will be simple but effective.

My plan will consist of three parts.  My first part will include my self care.  I want to try and keep up with my skin care and I want to watch my food intake and make sure I eat foods that make me feel good.  The second part of my plan is to take care of my soul/spirit.  I will try to meditate more and make sure I have time to think to myself.  Lastly I want to keep myself on top of things.   I want to make myself be more productive and plan out my activities more.  I want to stay on top of posting content on social media and I want to make sure I practice dance regularly.

Thanks everyone for reading!  In this blog post I really wanted to get my point across of why I chose this word.  This word has a lot of meaning and I hope you guys think of your own words and how they will help you.  Comment down below what your favorite part of this post was and while you’re down there leave your blog URL so I can check it out.

100 Word Challenge #6

Hey everyone.  Today I am back with another 100 word challenge.  This has been my biggest writer’s block yet.  I rewrote this story four times and wasn’t satisfied until this one.  Hopefully you enjoy it because I wanted to put out the best content for you.

My sister is the worst. She gets everything I want.  This week was my first day of high school, and I ran into her friend group.  My sister wasn’t around because she was taking the SAT but that was fine with me.  I tried to pass them, but they stopped me.  “Look, it’s Harper’s stupid sister.  Could you get any uglier?” They hissed.  I didn’t know how to respond. “I thought you had a life but where did it go?” she shouted.  My sister stands across the hallway defending me. Maybe my sister isn’t so bad afterall.

Thanks for reading!  Because of how much work this took, I would appreciate it if you followed my blog.  Recently I set up a new widget where you can get emails every time I post and recommend you check it out.  If you enjoyed this post, leave a comment down below and leave your blog URL if you have one.  Have a great day and as always, remember to live your life with soul!

100 Word Challenge #5

This weeks prompt ^

Hey everyone!  Today I am sharing the 100wc #5.  To be honest, I’ve started to lose count of how many I’ve done.  This week’s prompt was very similar to two weeks ago, but I didn’t want this week to be the same.  I decided to go out of my usual serious writing style this week and go for a more creative style.  Hopefully you enjoy it and, if you like it, nominate me to be on the homepage of the 100wc.

I was on my regular walk around the neighborhood with my friend.  It was a normal day and a normal week, but, for some reason, the people around us were acting weird.  In the middle of our walk, we saw a yellow bike strapped to the tire by the wheel!  The farther past this tree, the more bikes we saw like this.  I was starting to think it was bad luck to lock a bike normally in this town.

Yay, you finished!  This short story was based off of something like a dream.  For some reason, I feel like after Covid 19 this is how things will be. Maybe some random viral video would trick everyone into thinking this will stop them from getting sick.  Anyways, if you enjoyed this story, don’t forget to comment and tell me what you think.  While you are at it, leave your blog URL, so I can check it out.   As always, don’t forget to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge #4

Hey all you soulful people!  I am back with my fourth 100 word challenge.  This week’s prompt was tricky and different.  I wrote this story in first person.  This character is a successful business woman telling her story.  My inspiration for this was Covid-19 and thinking about supporting small businesses.  Enough babbling and enjoy!

Most people think of me as a successful person, but most people don’t know what I did to get here.  I remember the days when I was just a small business dream.   I remember when I had the greatest idea, and it just wouldn’t take off.  When people think of me, I want them to think of my past and my work ethic, not just what I am now.  I want people to help other small businesses, so one day that business can share my same story.

You made it!  I hope you enjoyed it and it inspired you to support small businesses.  Because this month is Black History Month, here is a list of small black owned businesses to support.  Tell me in the comments down below what you thought about this week’s prompt.   While you’re down there leave your blog URL so I can check it out if you have one.  Well that’s all for now folks.  As always remember to live your life with soul!

100 Word Challenge 3

My brother 🙂

Hey all you soulful people!  Today I am back with the third 100 word challenge.  Today’s prompt is actually five words!  The words are: bicycle, desperate, yellow, warned, and greedily.  Hope you enjoy!

My brother usually gets his way even though he’s only 1!  One day we were playing outside, and my brother was wearing his adorable yellow jacket.  He has two baby bicycles, and I jokingly rode one while he was on the other.  He warned me by yelling at me and then greedily pushed me off.  So when I got my own bike, my brother desperately looked at me  wanting to ride!  Of course he didn’t want to ride his two bikes, but the one that his big sister was riding.

Hope you guys enjoyed this weeks blog post.  This weeks post was based off of a true story.  Comment down below with your try at this prompt.  While you’re there, leave your blog URL if you have one, so I can check it out.  As always, remember to live your life with soul!

100 Word Challenge #2

Hey everyone today I am back with another 100 word challenge.  Today’s prompt is a little different.  It isn’t a word or sentence but its actually an image.  I have to admit this image stumped me at first but I persevered.  I hope you enjoy my 2nd 100 word challenge. Enjoy!

Prompt ^

I was walking through the forest to clear my mind.   Normally I go to the lake deep in the trees to center myself but today I thought it would be fun to explore further into the greenery. I was nearing the small lake and noticed a weird shape in a tree a few feet from me.  I walked over to it and it looked like the tree was reaching out for me.  It was shaped like a person but stuck inside the bark of the tree.  Maybe I should explore more and discover all the cool things in the woods.

You made it!  I hope you enjoyed my blog post this week.  It’s really fun doing the challenges.  Leave a comment down below of your own challenge to this prompt.  Also while your down their leave your blog url so I can check it out.  As always remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge!

Hey all you soulful people, it’s Keeley and today I will be participating in the first 100 word challenge of 2021!  The prompt for this post was the phrase ..everything stopped and..  I was nervous about this challenge but in the end I think I did pretty well.  Hopefully you all enjoy this quick post!  Now without further ado let’s get right into this challenge.  Enjoy!

Everyday the world is changing. Leaves fall, flowers bloom.  But one thing that hasn’t changed is you.  Imagine if everything stopped and you had a day to do anything you wanted before time started again.  What would you do?  How would you spend your time?  Would you stick to the same routine you always do, or would you experience as much as you can?  Why waste what you have when you can change your life for the better.  Bloom into your own beautiful flower.  Be the best that you can be, and change for yourself and the world around you.

Yay! You made it!  In my story I went for an indirect method of writing.  The lesson of this is kinda complicated, and I don’t really understand it either.  If you guys got the lesson comment down below.  While you’re at it feel free to leave your own 100 word story using this prompt I used   !  Also leave your blog URL if you have one so I can check it out.  See ya next time folks and remember to live your life with soul! -Keeley
