An unnamed official has spoken to the media about how this Wednesday, Inauguration Day, the National Mall in D.C will be closed to the general public. There will be no screens, restrooms, or standing panels where they normally are for this special day. All of these regulations come as a safety and security concern, most likely due to the scenes on January 6th surrounding the Capital Building. It is supposed to be a virtual event and Joe Biden’s advisors are planning to set up the ceremony specifically for virtual viewing. There will be lots of security and precautions in order to prevent any violence from breaking out. This election continues to keeps us on our toes, it is definitely one for the books.
