Questions, Questions!

Hello, lively listers! Today is all about questions! Here I have a list of 20 questions I’ve come up with. Some are related, some are not. Some have answers, and some are mysteries of life.

  1. Do we live more than one life?

People are always saying to live your life to the fullest because you only live once, or YOLO, but what if we live more than one life? What if before you were born, you were a middle-aged man living in Poland in the 1920s? What if some of our relationships and habits are from one of our past lives? Have you ever wondered why you feel deja vu? Maybe this is why!

  1. How would you prepare for an apocalypse?

As a fan of sci-fi and dystopian shows and books, I can say I have thought about living through the apocalypse. But how would you prepare? Would you build a secret bunker and ride it out, or lead a battalion or armed force to try and take down the evil being? I think it depends on your personality, but I would probably try and hide. I am not as brave as I would like to think I am. How about you?

  1. What is your favorite food?

This seems like a silly ice-breaker question, but I like how deep some answers can get. Let’s say your favorite food is hamburgers. Why do you like it so much? Is it the flavor, or maybe it reminds you of a memory or a person? As simple as food sounds, I think food can show others about you just knowing your flavor palette.

  1. What fictional universe would you want to be a part of?

I love this question so much, even if it is incredibly hard for me to choose. Anytime I read or binge a series, I always imagine myself in the characters’ situations. It is incredible to think about what we could do if we lived in these fictional places. We could make boulders move with a flick of our hand, cast magic spells, have super strength, time travel, meet animals we could never think of, save the world on multiple occasions, and so many other things. But which one would you choose?

  1. Why do we care what others think of us?

As a student and friend, I always worry about what people think of me, how people see me, and how I act. While some of this pressure can be a good thing, it can also affect my mood and personality deeply. But why do we care? It is such a hard question to answer, and if you want to get lost in thought, this is the question to think about.

  1. What does a black hole look like?

Science lovers, this question is for you. To me, the entire thought of space, planets, and stars makes my head spin, but one of these questions is the hardest to answer. What do black holes look like? How are they formed? What does it feel like to be sucked into one? Although I don’t wish this fate on anyone, I am curious to see what would happen if one formed to suck Earth up.

  1. Do you prefer the rain or the sun?

This question can also be related to seasons, but do you like the relaxing sound and smell of rain and thunder, or the warm shine of the sun? I like rain better. It makes me feel at peace. But some people prefer the sun, and I would just like to know why.

  1. How does music affect our mood?

I like this question because I am a fan of many different genres of music and moods of music, but I would just like to know how some songs can make us cry, dance, or confident, and so many other emotions, even though the songwriters don’t know us. It is incredible to think that we relate songs to memories to feel what we feel, something without even realizing it.

  1. What is your childish, unrealistic dream?

Since I was a little kid, I have always wanted to eat a cloud. I don’t know why, but I like to daydream about what it would taste like, and what it would feel like. Now, I know that it is almost impossible to eat a cloud, or even if I did, it would just taste like water, but the child in me has wanted to do it.

  1. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Now I have had many ideas on what I want to be when I grow up, including being an actor, writer, dancer, singer, teacher, and even a ballerina police officer (I was an imaginative kid)! But I am always curious to see what other people can dream up and if it came true. I have changed my mind on what job I want, where I want to live, but I am still hoping that at least one of my ideas comes true. I found a Career Website that will show you some possible careers and quizzes for you! Check it out!

  1. Does your environment affect your mood?

I know a lot of people who have mood changes depending on the weather, season, and temperature, but that has never had a strong effect on me. I can understand why people may be happier in spring and summer and sadder in fall and winter, but I would like to know the psychology behind these emotional swings.

  1. What would you say to your younger self?

This question is specifically hard for me to answer because I have no idea what to say to myself. I could tell little me about 2020, but that might scare them. I could tell them how to act on a certain occasion, but that could change the future too much. I think I might have trouble believing myself too. Nevertheless, it would be very cool to see my little self again and relive some of my favorite memories.

  1. Do you have any TV, book, or song recommendations?

This question seems a bit out of place in this list, but I love getting suggestions on what to watch, read, or listen to. Some of my favorite songs and shows have been recommended to me, and it can create better relationships between people if they talk about a shared topic or idea. I am open to anything, and I would love to hear about some of your favorite entertainment series in the comments!

  1. Where does the sky start?

I got this question from my friend Marissa (Go check out her blog Flipping For A Story) and I loved this question so much, I wanted to talk about it. As I said, it is hard for me to wrap my brain around the idea of space, but this one is extremely crazy. The sky just goes on forever, but where does it start? How did it form? Can the sky fall? Some of these questions can be answered by science, but I like to use my imagination to create new, impossible answers.

  1. What is important to you?

Answers to this question can range anywhere from an item to a person to an idea or principle. But I think sharing what is important to us can create better relationships between people and we would respect each other if we just understood. My friends, the idea of peace, and music are some things that are incredibly important to me.

  1. What makes you cry?

This question is about to get emotional. For me personally, a lot of things can make me cry, whether it’s the feeling of hurt or fear, or seeing someone I care about pass away, or seeing someone or feeling happy. I get incredibly emotional when things end or when I remember something I enjoyed. I like to recall one phrase that will make me feel better. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

  1. Who are the three most important people in your life?

Often, we forget who is important to us, and what makes these people special to us. So go tell them! It makes you and the other person feel appreciated if you tell them just how important they are to you. Even in quarantine, we can still connect with those who we love, so go do it. It will brighten your and their day, and it will make your relationship stronger.

  1. Why do humans dream?

Whether it’s a nightmare or your dream fantasy, most people dream every time they shut their eyes, but why? It is a recap of your day, a mixture of what you want to happen in your life, or is it something deeper? And what makes these questions even harder to answer, is why some people, like myself, forget their dreams the second they wake up!

  1. What place have you always wanted to travel to, and why haven’t you gone there?

When it comes to travel, I have an entire list of beautiful cities, countrysides, and landmarks I want to go to. But sadly, there are always obstacles in the way of getting what we want. Even though it might make you feel down on yourself, find your list of destinations, and figure out why you want to go there. Then, write down all of the bothersome things that are stopping you from going on your dream vacation. You can figure out and plan your trips better if you know what you need to do to get there. It can also give you a goal to work towards!

  1. What drives you to wake up every day and do what you need to, even if you hate doing it?

I thought this was a good question to end on because I have had some rough days recently. And yet I still get out of bed, go to school, and finish the day with a positive attitude. And I want to know what makes you get through the day, and what you are striving for. Once you find that goal, getting out of bed might just be a little easier.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope these questions make you think, and I hope you found some answers, even if you weren’t looking for them. Don’t forget to comment your URL and some questions and answers of your own! Remember, music is the best medicine!

This is Angeline signing off.

  1. Hi Angelina –

It was fascinating to read your 20 questions…and how you talked the reader through the question, inspiring us to look at the questions in a positive light.

It would be impossible for me to name the three most important people in my life, but I can name six. They include my husband, Mike, and all of my amazing children, who aren’t so little anymore: Shelby, Cullen, Bryan, Cady, and Sean. We can’t be together this Christmas because of Covid, and it’s making me super sad. 🙂 Who would be on your list?

    Joy to your world –
    Mrs. Rombach
