Hi lively listeners! For this week, our challenge was to use the phrase “…I didn’t realize it could fly…” I hope you enjoy!
I approached the creature with steady hands and slow feet.
It had the head of a horse, the body of a bear, and a tail like a lion.
I put my hand on the hybrid’s face, it purred like a cat and invited me on their back.
Why not, I thought as I slowly slid my leg over is their body and grabbed their hair for support.
I didn’t realize it could fly.
Magnificent wings shot out from a hidden spot on the side of their body and with one smooth whoosh, we were up 20 feet in the air.

Hello Angelina, what an absolutely fabulous story. You had me enthralled from beginning to end. And to be honest, beyond as well. I was left thinking I would love to be able to read about further adventures. Your descriptions and word choices were just great. I think this story creates the opportunity to build a relationship between the hybrid and your main character and to record their further adventures. Well done.
