What the Heck is my Concentration?

Hey Reader! Welcome to my AP Studio Art blog!

This first post is going to focus on my concentration and what my idea is up in my head. I have a bunch of basic ideas that could sprout into pretty cool portfolios, but I want my concentration to be something that means more to me than just a bland, cliche idea anyone could think of. (no offense basic population).

Some of my layouts and spreads are pretty emotional and can be considered “touchy” subjects, but that’s exactly what I want to portray. I love the fact that just a piece of paper with graphite on it can make one feel so many emotions. I want to share my emotional experiences and tough times through expressive and abstract pieces of work. (but wait, Emma, that sounds so basic and broad). EXACTLY! That’s why I want to dig deeper and go into the family and relationship aspect of our lives. Sometimes a very uncomfortable and TOUCHY conversation. Exactly what I want.

Sometimes it’s good to feel scared, depressed, uncomfortable, and awkward. My goal this year is to express all of that yucky stuff stuck inside all of our hearts and minds and just let it bleed all over the paper.

Talk to you guys next entry 😉

Love the idea! Perhaps focusing on one certain relationship could help specify your idea, and allow you to dig even deeper. For example, explore a mother daughter relationship or a friendship and explore the ups and downs of that one relationship in particular. Great work!
