sketchbook spread 2.2

I wanted to talk about body dysmorphia in this piece, relating to my face dysmorphia piece. i wanted to keep similar medias and techniques but i wanted to keep the tone a hit more different. i wanted to include all sorts of bodies in different position with different shapes and sizes. this is my first time doing a piece for figure drawings and i am enjoying it so far so i cant wait to see the end result:)

  1. I think the concept is interesting and I’m interested to see how you portray it…I don’t have much to comment on the figure drawings, but maybe include a more somber color scheme on the actual piece to convey the effects of body dysmorphia?

  2. Love the idea and I love that you’re doing figure drawing! It’s something a lot of people are intimidated by, so I command your bravery! I think with figure drawing opens a whole world of opportunity when it comes to composition, so don’t be afraid to take up the whole page with a body position that emphasizes that. Great work!

  3. I think that the topic that you decided to focus on is really inspiring and relevant to people today in our society. I think that your sketchbook pages have a nice layout and clearly show your idea. Also, I think that your proportions look great and represent the female anatomy well.

  4. I love this skecthbook spread!! your line work is really strong and all the poses of all your figures are reall dynamic. I also liek the varying ink drawings and one with watercolor in them. I am really interested to see the emotion you’ll evoke in your next piece. 🙂

  5. I love this idea! This topic is very relevant today with the unattainable features perpetuated by the media. I think having the different bodies is good, but maybe you could make the skin tones more abstract (like purple and blue). Or just have all different races (which I’m pretty sure you were going for that already so that’s great). Your sketches are really well done and pretty proportionate. Can’t wait to see it in the end!
