The Horror Hospital  By: Morgan

Anthony looked at the building in front of him. He gulped. “Ok, it’s just like a normal hospital that you’ve gone too, except this one is full of webs and spiders. NO!” He smacked himself. “Stop being a coward and let’s go in!” He lifted up his right leg, looking like he was about to walk. He stood there, his leg still up, sweating.

“You know what, nevermind!”  He turned around and was about to walk off when he heard a door slam open behind him. He slowly turned his head, his body shaking with fear. “H-H-H-Hello?” Anthony said. His voice was shaky. He was going to ask who they are but nothing came out except for a shaky hello.

“Hello there sir. Are you here for a check-up.” Anthony opened his mouth but nothing came out, just a high-pitched squeak. He felt something weird in his throat, blocking it so nothing can go down or come up. He tried to speak but this time, a growl came out. He quickly covered his mouth. “Sir, are you going to stand there or come in.”

Anthony started to run off but something grabbed his ankle. He didn’t notice it at first then he remembered that this “thing” on him that always connects itself to places it wants to go and when he starts walking away, ‘it’ will grab him by the ankle or wrist.

‘It’ starts to drag him back slowly then it’s speed gets faster. Anthony almost got hit into the wall but ‘it’ stops him from hitting it. “I guess you heard about us fixing unexplainable things and stuff from stalking or your friend told you, probably stalking.”  Anthony felt something slam into the back of his neck. He passed out.

Anthony woke up, strapped to a hospital bed. Anthony couldn’t feel his body at all. It felt like he wasn’t in control of his own body. He tried to lift up his head but he couldn’t feel his neck either. “What is going on?!” Anthony tried to remember what happened before whatever happened here.

‘I was walking to a hospital to get this weird looking demon off of me. I was to scared so I decided to walk back but I was stopped by the noise of the door behind me slamming open. A person appeared in front of the door. I didn’t really get a glimpse of what they were wearing because I was looking at their face but their face was covered by a mask. I then tried to run away but the stupid demon pulled me back! Then…..then…..I don’t remember.’ Anthony looked up at the light that’s shining in my face. “I wish I could just be blind so I can stop seeing the demon thing!” Anthony growled.

“Ah, you’re finally awake. I thought you would never wake up. But, surprise!” Anthony tried to turn his neck but he then remembered that his neck was numb. He tried his best to look around with just his eyes. “I numbed your body but I guess you could already tell. You probably would be squirming around crazy or try to escape already.” Anthony’s breathing became fast.

“Calm down Mr. Shakerspar.” Anthony’s eyes became wide. “H-How do you know my name.” Anthony said. “Because, I have eyes that can see who you are and what your darkest secrets are.” Anthony’s eyes became wider. “HAHA! Oh god! The look on your face is priceless!” Their laughter was weird. It sounded like a sort of dying man laughing his final breath out before he passes away. It sounded like a man who had breathing problems and they were laughing. It sounded…It just sounded weird!

Anthony tried to move his body one last time just to make sure. “Anthony, I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Anthony thought that they were just trying to trick him so he won’t get out so he kept moving around. “Anthony, stop you’re gon-” A loud cough that sounded like a choke erupted from Anthony mouth. Anthony kept coughing but after 4 cough’s he choked for about a minute then gets back to coughing.

The person walked over to the bed that Anthony was strapped too. Anthony could finally see the person because they were hiding behind the shadows of the room. They stopped an inch away from Anthony’s bed. They tried to touch Anthony but, something was blocking them from touching him. Something strong and powerful was making a forcefield around Anthony.

They sighed and walked out of the room. Anthony finally stopped coughing and choking. Anthony looked up at the light. He closed his eyes to concentrate on his arms. “Breathe in.” He took a huge breath in. “Breathe out.” He let out a long breath. He started to feel his fingers again.

After he felt as if his hands were being screwed back on to himself, he tried to wiggle his hand out of the strap. He got it out, but got a red burn on his wrist. Anthony started to hear mumbling. “They’re back!” Anthony whispered.  Anthony felt his other hand be screwed back on and tried to take it out of the strap.

“Come on, Come on!” He finally got out but then he remembered his legs. “Are you serious!” Anthony yelled. He then quickly covered his mouth. He didn’t hear anymore talking, nor footsteps. He tried to rip them out by pulling on them. He knew he wouldn’t feel any pain if the numbness in his leg doesn’t go away.

He finally got his left leg out but before he could get his right leg out, the door to the room he was in slammed open. Light was shining into the dull lit room. “He is escaping! Get him!” One of them yelled. There were two people in the room. One was trying to stop Anthony while the other one took notes.

“Sir! Calm down! We’re not trying to hurt you, we’re just trying to get that creature out of you!” The person trying to stop Anthony slammed him back onto the bed. “Now, are you gonna listen, or struggle more to the point where we have to shove a shot into your neck to make you sleep.” Anthony stopped struggling. They sighed then softly laid him down on the bed. “Dr. Miserable, can I take off the mask now so I can do it.” the person said. Dr. Miserable nodded.

They both took off their mask. Anthony looked at them. The person near him was a boy, but it didn’t really look like a boy. The one near the door was a teenage looking boy. “Before you ask, no I am not a boy, I am a girl but I like having short hair.” Anthony kept staring at her. She walked over to the lights to turn them on. When she did turn them on, a loud hiss erupted.

“Did you cover the cage before you left yesterday.” The teenage boy said. “Yes.” She said while walking back over to Anthony. “But they must’ve took off the blanket.” She grabbed something from off the table. “Name, problem, and what you want us to do to the problem.” Anthony looked at her eyes for a second.

They were like the beautiful ocean when there is a sunrise. But deep down in the ocean are creatures, creatures you do not want to mess with,  creatures that will kill you without no hesitation, creatures that will tear you to shreds. The ocean is unsettling. Anthony thinks she is like the ocean, she is unsettling and she looks like a person you don’t want to mess with, or she will do what the creatures in the ocean do.

She sighed and rested her finger on his forehead. Anthony didn’t know what she was doing but her finger was cold. Anthony started to heat up all of a sudden. He felt a tremendous pain in his forehead, it sort of felt like a sunburn. “Ow!” Anthony yelled. She removed her finger as Anthony held onto his forehead. “Name, problem, and what you want us to do about the problem.” she said, her voice more stern.

“Anthony J. Shakersper. My problem is this creature thing is like, living inside me and making my life miserable! I just want it out!”

The teenage boy took notes. “Mhm,  Smile Pill do your thing.”

The girl turns around. she nods. “Ok, Antony.”

“Anthony!”

“Right, Anthony. I will need you to lie down for a while.” she said as she pushed on his shoulders. Anthony laid down and just looked up at the light. He heard some sizzling but was too lazy to look. “What are you going to do to me.” Anthony said. Nobody said anything.  It was quiet for quite a while. He couldn’t hear breathing, nor the sizzling of whatever it was.

He felt something burning touch his legs. “Ah!” Anthony’s back arched upwards. “Hold still!” she yelled. Anthony tried to hold still but it hurt so much! Anthony started to hear loud ringing in his ears. “AAAAH! What is that noise?!” She looked at Anthony then at the other person. He nodded.

She walked away with Anthony in pain. She came back with another pain full of boiling water. Instead of pouring it slowly, she dumped the whole thing on his legs. You could hear Anthony’s scream around the whole world. But, luckily the walls in the hospital were real thick and they had this room soundproof.

“That should do it.” she said as she walked towards the teenage boy. Anthony started to feel dizzy and he passed out.  “Our first ever patient. I’m glad we made robots that copy what your loved ones look like or whoever.” She took off her robe to show her wearing bandages, band-aids everywhere. She had a leg brace on her left leg. She was wearing a white nurse uniform and some long black and white striped socks. Her hair flowed like the ocean but her hair was black, like someone dumped something disgusting in the water.

“Next time, you have to fix the patient. My ears are almost deaf, I need to go take some hearing pills.” She started walking to the front of the hospital. “Bye Smile Pills.” He looked over at the boy on the bed. He sighed then walked over to him. He looked down at him. “When you wake up, you will tell nobody about the pain you went through. You will only tell them about us helping you.”

He picked up Anthony and walked towards the exit way that leads you into a random alleyway. He set him down then snapped his fingers to hear Anthony counting from 5 to 1. “It was nice seeing you.” He walked back into the hospital. Anthony got to one and jolted up. “W-What happened?” He said as he rubbed his head. “Why do I have a massive headache and…” He looked at his legs to see them burnt. “Why are my legs burnt?!”

He tried to get up and he succeeded. He then remembered these two people who helped him do something. “How do I know these people?….Eh, I’m just gonna tell my friends about them.” He tried to find his way out of the alley because it was dark outside. “Wait,” He stopped in his tracks. “What happened to the creature?!” He stood there, thinking of what happened. “Nevermind…I’m just glad I don’t hear different voices anymore.” He started to walk out of the alley. He started walking back home. He stopped in his tracks in front of a huge gap in between two buildings. “Huh, weren’t they going to build a hospital here? Eh…” He ignored the question and kept walking.

  1. Wonderful. What a vivid imagination. Character descriptions are outstanding. I could see them. I watched the story like a movie in my head.
