Quarter 3 Goal One: Mission Complete!!!!

Mission Accomplished. If you are reading this, that means you have finished goal one. I have as well. What goal did you choose? I chose investigation of lexile levels. That meant I had to take three new books and read them. I had to choose one above my lexile level, blow it, and in the range of it.

The first book I chose, The Alchemist: By Paulo Coelho. This is a book about a boy who wanted to travel to Egypt to discover the treasure that he saw in his dreams.

The second book I chose, Hatchet: By Gary Paulson. This is the story of a boy who was flying to see his dad, but his plane crashes and he is stuck in the woods. He has almost nothing but still he is determined to survive.

The last book I chose, Cats of the Clans: By Erin Hunter. This book tells the tales of simply, the cats in the warrior clans. It tells their backstory, foreshadowing events, and events that are happening with them in the other books.

I hope that this blog has found you well. If it has, great! If not, not so great. My next blog about this topic will come at the end of the quarter when I will be talking about my second goal. I won’t tell you, but it has something to do with 250 minutes of reading.

GOODBYE FOR NOW INJUSTICE LEAGUERS!!!!

Deserted

I got grounded because I talked back to my dad. I lost my Xbox, phone, and everything else. On top of that, my dad put me on a plane and sent me to an abandoned desert island in Hawaii. My dad only let me bring three things, these are those three things.

The first thing: A knife, why? Only because if I run out of food and I need some, I can just use the knife to get some. I could hunt, cut coconuts, get crabs, ( counts at hunting ) or get wood for shelter. I would have to be quiet to get up close to hunt with the knife though. The one thing that I would have to think about is safety. I couldn’t cut anything in my hand because of the risk of cutting myself. Typically anything you do with a knife you could cut yourself.

The second thing: Sunscreen. One of the reasons is because it’s a desert island and you could get burned. Another reason is because the sand could even reflect sunlight and you could get burned. All I’m trying to say is you could get sunburned! Plus, this is something that most people don’t think about taking, most people would say they would take a gun or something along those lines. It’s just silly.

The third thing: A book to read. If I don’t have my phone or xbox, then I’m going to read. I mean I’d read anyway but. I love books, I’d bring my Star Trek book and my book called The Alchemist. One by Paulo Coelho and the other by Alan Gratz. They are both great books and would highly recommend them.

Those are my three things I would bring with me. If I had four then I would bring a friend with me. Maybe Cody or Justin or one of my other friends. But I had to choose three and I did.
