This is the first sketchbook page for my next project. For this upcoming project I was inspired to create a “Medusa” concept. I got this idea from when I was browsing on Pinterest and came across the picture on the sketchbook page. The placement of the girl’s braids and the way they were turned upwards reminded me Medusa’s snakes. As a child, I had always been a fan of Greek Mythology, so I thought this would be a fun concept to take on. On the right, I drew to different snakes in two different styles. The top was inspired from the apple painting I did, and the bottom is inspired by the usual digital style I use. I think for this project I do want to continue with the realistic approach, but I want to experiment more with this style in my next sketchbook page.
