Student Blogging Challenge #3

Sweater Weather

The exquisite mix of warm and cold weather of late October is perfect for wearing a comfy sweater and jeans.

My warm fall drink keeps me snug with the chilly autumn weather.

As I walk down my street, I see a common theme of creepy decorations and carved pumpkins outside every house.

The brisk wind blows through my hair, as I’m walking through the alluring fields of crimson, gold, and coral.

My shoes softly step on the gorgeous fallen leaves.

I look up and see an infinite sight of trees dancing in the wind.

Hello bloggers! My post this week was another Student Blogging Challenge task. This week I had to find a picture from a plagiarism and copyright free site to put into my blog. After I found a picture that I was interested in, I wrote a poem about it. I really liked this week’s challenge because I enjoyed writing a poem about my favorite season, FALL! In school we rarely write poems, so it was fun to experiment and write a free-verse poem.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or anything you would like to share, make sure to write a comment down below! Speaking of comments (shameless promo coming), look at my last post and the graphic that I made on how to write a quality comment. I would also appreciate it if you answered and filled out this Google Form to answer some simple questions. This way I can get to know all of you better! Thank you all for looking at my weekly blog post!

  1. Hey AC!
It’s Mariam here and we’re back at it again with another vlog er- I mean COMMENT. Your poem really got me in those spooky szn feels. Rupi Kaur is trembling at this very moment. This is something straight off of VSCO, I swear. In conclusion, your poem gave me goosebumps haha. Make sure to check out my short story! Love you lots!

    • Hey Mariam!
Omg what a compliment that is. My biggest goal in life is to write a poem that would be on VSCO, and I achieved it ;). Your short story is great by the way and also got me in the spooky feels. Love you bunches and thanks for looking at my blog!

  2. Hi, AC!

I am a commenter for Student Blogging Challenge.

I love your sweater weather photo! Where did you get it?

    • Hello Mrs. Wohlafka!
I actually got my picture from Google Images. To make it plagiarism free, I clicked on the tools button under the search bar and chose usage rights. Then I clicked on labeled for noncommercial use. I typed in the key word autumn and found this beautiful picture of a fall day! Thanks so much for looking at my blog! I greatly appreciate it. If you could, please share your blog URL with me so that I can return the favor and comment on your blog!

    • Aunt Christie,
Thank you so much for keeping up with me on my blog! So glad you like my poem too. Writing my poem made me want to drink a PSL and wear cozy sweaters! Tell Hank and Uncle Ed I said hey. Love you!

  4. Hi Anna Claire

I think your blog is really nice and the poem that you wrote about the picture is really good I have never really been good at poetry myself and I think that your poem is nice.

    • Hey Ryan!
Omg thank you! Poetry isn’t really my thing either, but I like to do it once in a while. If you practice and write poems every so often, I’m sure you’ll become a great poet. Thanks for taking a look at my blog and commenting! If possible please give me your URL for your blog so that I can look at yours and comment too.
      Happy Blogging,
      Anna Claire 🙂

  5. Hello Anna Claire,
I think you did a fabulous job with this week’s challenge, and I love your poem. I love autumn. I wonder if you would allow me to post your poem on the poetry board in my classroom?
I’ll stop back during the remainder of the challenge. Enjoy the remaining weeks.
