A skier in Romania was chased down a slope and bystanders say his quick thinking may be what saved his life.

There is a video of the incident that took place at the Predeal Mountain Resort which was one of several bear sighting in the last few years. While the chase was happening people were trying to distract the bear by whistling and screaming in their direction. The skier then dropped his bag on the ground as he continued down the slope and the bear went towards the bag which could have been the decision that saved his life. Apparently local police say that they had received 3 calls about the bear being spotted that day.
