The Nationals have signed left handed Starting Pitcher, Jon Lester to a 1 year contract. The contract is worth $5 million total, but Lester will receive $2 million in 2021 and the remaining $3 million in 2023. Jon Lester, who will be going into his age 37 season in 2021, isn’t the same pitcher he used to be. Lester is a five time all star and a three time World Series champion. However, as he has gotten older, his production has started to decline. Lester could be a very solid fourth starter for the Nationals if he were to regain some of his old success.
