A sculpture of a whale tail in the Netherlands saved a train from driving off a railway platform and falling 30 feet on Monday morning.

This occurred early in the morning on Monday, at the De Akkers metro station in Spijkenisse, Netherlands, after it crashed through a buffer stop and landed on the whale sculpture. Both police and emergency services responded to the incident but luckily there were no injuries. Police at the scene reported that there were no people on the train when the incident occurred.
