Hurricane Zeta Makes Landfall

 

Hurricane Zeta made landfall Wednesday in multiple southern states, including Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana. Over two million people have been impacted by power outages across the states. Zeta has also claimed five lives since making landfall.

The storm is heading up the east coast, it was only 25 miles south-east of Charlottesville, VA, earlier this afternoon. The storm has picked up wind speed since then, topping 53 mph. Areas from Maryland to Georgia are currently on flood watch, including parts of Virginia.
