After the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg a new Supreme Court justice was needed. Trump’s nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, won the Senate’s vote for the position 52-48 on Monday. This morning she was officially sworn in by Chief Justice, John Roberts. She will be the 115th Supreme Court Justice on the supreme court. Barrett is 48 years old and her position being filled just a week before the election has caused some controversy between political parties. Her position gives Republicans a 6-3 advantage which will have obvious changes in the plans and actions of the Supreme Court.
