Demi Lovato Releases New Song Following Split from Max Ehrich

Pop superstar Demi Lovato and her now-ex fiancĂ©, Max Ehrich, had been engaged for just two months before calling it quits last week. An inside source told press that it was Lovato who broke off the engagement after realizing that Ehrich’s “intentions were not genuine”, and after they faced weeks of constant conflict. Though Ehrich claims to have found out about their breakup via a tabloid, a source close to the couple said, “Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press”.

Although Lovato is hurting over the split, she took this opportunity to release a heart-aching breakup song titled “At Least I Still Have Me”. This song was released just six days after calling off her engagement, which makes it all the more emotional. The song features her always-angelic vocals while she sings in the first verse, “I’m a mess and I’m still broken / But I’m finding my way back / And it feels like someone’s stolen / All the light I ever had”. Yes, she is broken, but in the chorus of the song, she makes sure her fans know that she’s still the same person, and stronger than ever: “I don’t have much but at least I still have me (I still have me) / And that’s all I need / So take my faith but at least I still believe (I still believe) / And that’s all I need / I don’t have much but at least I still have me.”
