Starting on May 23, the local Metro lines have announced they will be shutting down their orange and silver lines due to Coronavirus. In addition to this, the silver line has been facing some computer software systems problems, that will be fixed during the shutdown. The repairs would have only caused the silver line to be shut down for 13 weekends, but because of the uncertainty with the virus, Metro is expecting to re-open these lines in the beginning of 2021.
