Victorias Secret is Sold

The well-known company Victoria’s Secret that belongs to L Brands’ has been sold at 1.1 billion dollars to a private equity firm. The company has recently had a lot of backlash due to not enough diversity with different body types in their models. Leslie Wexner, L Brands’ 82-year-old CEO and chairman, will step down from the company he founded. We will see where this company decides to go in the next few years and if they will change their brand. Many models have decided to leave because of the stress and pressure to have a “perfect body.”

“The reason I decided to stop working with Victoria’s Secret was I didn’t feel it was an image that was truly reflective of who I am and the kind of message I want to send to young women around the world about what it means to be beautiful,” said Karlie Kloss in an interview with Vogue magazine in 2019.
