Loudoun County Public School students enjoyed a four day weekend; however, many students at Champe don’t see the reason why. The ground wasn’t covered in snow, there was barely any ice, and yet we were closed for two days. There are many reasons that would explain this. A large reason we usually have off is due to western Loudoun and the mountains, which are usually hit much harder with bad weather conditions. In addition to that, Loudoun was under a winter weather advisory. Since most Champe students are on the edge of the Loudoun borderline, they often don’t see how the whole county is affected. LCPS students can look forward to more early morning phone calls from county celebrity, Wayde Byard, as more bad weather is to come later in the winter season.
