A few months ago, there was a rumor going around that Sony decided to take Spider-Man out of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). It turned out to be true. Disney and Sony had a dispute over how much money each company will get from the Spider-Man movies. Disney wanted a bigger share of the money, but Sony wanted to keep their original agreement. Eventually Sony had decided to pull Spider-Man out.

Recently, however, they started talking again about getting back together. Today @spidermanmovie posted on instagram about how spider-man is officially back in the MCU.
