Survivor of Madden NFL Shooting Dies in Car Crash

Ryen Aleman, a survivor of last month’s Madden NFL shooting in Jacksonville, died after being ejected from his car after losing control of the wheel. Aleman was driving on Sunday in Corpus Christi, Texas, around 3:45 am when he lost control of his car, causing it to flip; he was ejected from the car because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

During the shooting at the Madden NFL Tournament on August 26, Aleman and the opponent he was playing at the time hid in a bathroom to escape the gunman.

Friends of Aleman said he was still shaken from the shooting even weeks later.

His mother is raising money for his funeral expenses on GoFundMe:
