Lil Uzi Vert’s music has been a staple in my life since I was 12. Songs like 7AM, Top, and Erase Your Social were my favorite songs all throughout middle school. My favorite summer playlists had a lot of his music in it. Now, LUV announced that he won’t be making any more music. When I saw the post, I was really sad, because since 2015 I had been listening to him. Here are some of my favorite songs of his.
- Erase Your Social. This song talks about the come-up to fame and how people used to treat him versus how people treat him now. It starts with a simple melody, then he starts with the hook. I really recommend this song.
- Money Longer. This song is well known; released in 2016, Money Longer was in the top charts for 22 weeks, peaking at #9. This song is centered around the idea that Uzi “turned to a savage.”
- 7AM. This song is focused on the idea of him being interested in someone else’s significant other.
I agree. I was also sad that he said he was not releasing anymore music. I honestly think it is the labels fault for not allowing him to drop music whenever he wants. I still have hope in my heart that he is just going to release eternal etake out of nowhere.
