Hey y’all! Welcome back to Current Faves. So, the new song of the week I found because it was in a Levi’s commercial. I was not convinced to buy a pair of Levi’s, but I did find a catchy new song! “Makeba” is by the French singer Jain and it’s about Miriam Makeba. She was a South African singer who sang about civil rights in her country.
Jain made “Makeba” a song about something that mattered, but it was still fun, which I believe is difficult to do. Jain added a funky beat that makes you dance and the words are so easy to learn, if it comes on, you can sing along with ease!
