Hey guys and welcome to Current Faves! This week I bring you “No Pixar” by RDGLDGRN (RedGoldGreen). I’ve been following RDGLDGRN since the beginning. I was relistening to their music when I heard “No Pixar” and remembered how great of a song it is. “No Pixar” is from 2015 but Current Faves is about not only discoveries but rediscoveries also.

“No Pixar” is a rap performed by Green and it describes his process of being an artist and what it’s like. Not only is the beat amazing, but Green’s flow is so easy to follow. His voice is clear and you exactly what he says. What Green conveys through “No Pixar” is a relatable message about growing up and leaving behind Pixar and Disney. Just like “Makeba” two weeks ago, “No Pixar” has a strong message but it doesn’t bring you down. As I’ve said before, it’s the key to making a jam.
