Volleyball Finishes Season As State Runner-Up

On Saturday, April 27, the Freedom Girls Volleyball team competed against Hickory High School from Chesapeake, VA. Freedom High School hosted the state title game.

The first set ended in a score of 13-25. After a hard fight the final sets ended in 21-25 and 20-25 winning Hickory High School the state title.

Even though the team lost, the girls made Freedom history earning the title of state runner-up.

“I was so proud to be a part of this team this season,” senior Haley Adams said. “No other Freedom team has made it to the state finals, even though the outcome wasn’t what we wanted I’m still so proud to be part of this team.”
