As the first regular-decision letters start rolling in, Freedom High School seniors are starting to finalize their college plans and looking ahead towards graduation with excited anticipation. This year, in lieu of the t-shirt cutouts outside of the college and career center displaying where students are headed in the fall, an Instagram page (@fhs.2021decisions) was created to showcase Freedom seniors and where they are attending college. 

“I wanted to give back to the class of 2021 who probably had one of the worst senior years ever. This way, they can be recognized for their achievements on social media in place of the senior recognition events at school,” said the owner of the Instagram page, who wishes to remain anonymous. 

Senior Jordan Atanassov is attending Virginia Tech in the fall and has been featured on the page. He describes the page as “a fun collage to look back on in the future.”

Seniors can submit a photo of themselves, the college they plan to attend, their intended major(s) and a senior quote via Instagram direct messages to be featured on the page.
