Letter from the Editor: Welcome Back!

Students prepare for classes by using the Google Meet website and other materials.

Welcome back, free birds! As we go into this next year, Uncaged will be changing along with everything else in the world. Unfortunately, we will be focusing on this website for the beginning of the year but hope to produce designs if we can go back in the classroom. We are very excited for some new content rolling out soon which will start some new series along with some returning ones like everyone’s favorite, 73 Questions!

For our fellow classmates, we would like to say that you got this and let’s make the most out of this year. Freshmen, welcome to Freedom! I can say for certain that your class has had the strangest transition to high school in a while. You are handling this great and I know you will succeed! Sophomores, keep doing you! Do your homework, study, keep going! Juniors, as you enter the “hardest” year via google meet, just know everyone is looking out for you! We all believe in you! Seniors, I know this isn’t what you imagined but life is unpredictable! Take advantage of the days left being a Freedom student and work hard, turn your cameras on to see your classmates, and engage!

The pandemic has affected each and every one of us but we use this as an opportunity to come together. A stronger community and environment as Freedom and South Riding as a whole. Uncaged is here to brighten your day and to provide content about the Freedom community by Freedom students. We can’t wait for you all to see some of our content coming up in the near future.

Keep on zooming, and I’ll catch you in the next google meet!
