The holiday season has officially come to an end, and that leaves some students with a gigantic concern: what to do now? As 2020 has officially begun, many holidays have been left behind in 2019, such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Even though this can be viewed as a fresh start, like New Years resolutions, there are some students who are still mourning over the loss of the holiday season.
“In the beginning of the school year, I feel like it went by really fast because we had so many holidays to look forward to and breaks,” junior Riley Waldrop said. “But now that it’s all over the school year will probably go by pretty slow since our next break is pretty far.”
After the New Year begins and school starts back up again, the next long break is not until spring break. For other students, the start of a New Year means a fresh start, and the thought of not having a break for a while is not as big of a deal.
“Yeah I get that we won’t have many breaks between winter break and spring break but it’s a new year which means we can all have a fresh start,” junior Brennan Wood said.
