Freedom’s Varsity Girls Lacrosse close call to Potomac Falls

Freedom High School played against Potomac Falls on April 10.  Potomac scored two goals with in the first five minutes, with Freedom making their first goal later in the game. Junior Julia Riley won the drawing for Freedom, allowing the team to take the ball down the field and to take the lead. But, the first half ended with Potomac Falls in the lead, 7-4.

Junior Emily Maier made two goals in a row for Freedom during the second half, making the score 8-6 with Potomac in the lead.

With a super close game, Junior Julia Riley tied the game with two goals, and put Freedom in the lead with another. Mair followed Riley’s example and made another goal for Freedom. Freedom won the game 10-12.
