What I Celebrate

Hello. You look marvelous today. 🙂

Hi, This is week 7 of the student blogging challenge. I will be talking about Ramadan and Eid which are the holidays I celebrate. I hope you enjoy.

About Ramadan and Eid:  Ramadan is a special month in the religion Islam where you fast every day for a month. In the morning you wake up around 5-6 am before morning prayer and eat food. After you’re done eating, you pray and your fasting begins. So the whole day, you are not supposed to eat or drink and if you eat anything or drink anything your fast breaks. You cannot eat the whole day until evening prayer which is usually around 7-8 pm. You do this everyday for the whole month.

When the month is over, we celebrate Eid. We celebrate it after the month so we can congratulate  everyone who fasted. On Eid, we pray the Eid prayer after the Ramadan month every year. Also we wear like a collar shirt and dress pants, and we go out to eat out at a restaurant called Sorento .

this is a picture of a Mosque and at the bottom you see a lot of people praying.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading about what I celebrate, please leave a comment and you URL so I can come visit you back. Have a great Thanksgiving break 🙂
