Halloween Poem

Poem:

I see spooky decorations and kids trick or treating,

I hear the wind howling and kids screaming,

I feel the crisp autumn air,

And slippery candy wrappers under my feet,

I taste the chocolaty hershey candy,

And sweet and sour candy apples,

I smell the sweet smell of cake baking in the oven.

  1. Zoran, I enjoyed your poem, as you traveled through the senses with a Halloween theme. We had a really big storm on Halloween, so I could really relate to the howling wind in your poem.

Enjoy the blogging challenge. I hope you get many wonderful comments from all over.

  2. Zoran,

I agree with Miss Blessing. One of the things I like best about this post is your photo choice. It’s creepy…but it makes me laugh, too. So it’s a little like the sweet and sour candy apples you mention in your poem.

My favorite line is “And slippery candy wrappers under my feet.” Isn’t that the truth!? We had so much rain on Halloween night that there were surely wet wrappers underfoot!

Next time you post, Zoran, be sure you have a paragraph that introduces your poem or featured writing and a paragraph of 2-3 lines that closes out your post with a question and an invitation for visitors to leave a comment and their URL. Don’t forget this…you want to give visitors an action item!

In fact, you should go back in and at least add a closing for this post. Ask a question…what’s your favorite Halloween candy? What’s your best Halloween costume ever? What scares you? Something like that! 🙂

I’ll be watching for these additions for your post about music! 🙂
