i found this account on instagram where it showed a lot of nostalgic stuff and it made me think a lot about my childhood. 2003 kids were kinda late to the 2000s party but at least we made the cut. people in our age group probably remember this stuff from 2007-2013

here are some things:

1. the music. the pop ones were futuristic and the rap ones were so funny.

2. flip phones/slide phones. Sad they lasted for such a short time

3. Gameboys and Ds’s. kids on the bus would always play this on the way to school, made us more connected and its sad the kids now just have iphones. Some of the best games at the time were any Mario game, Cooking Mama, and Pokemon games. 1o years fast forward and kids play or do fortnite dances

4. the old CN logo, really legendary, the shows were comedic, animations were good, and much less cringey than they are now. best shows were Teen Titans, Regular show and and Ed Edd’n Eddy.

5. the old nickelodeon logo. again, much better and less cringey than the shows now. some of the best on there were Drake and Josh, iCarly, Danny Phantom, Zoey101 and Big Time Rush

6. chick-fil a meals

this was the best i could find online. the bag didnt look like this exactly, but i remember that chickfil a used to write games and recipes inside their bags and in 1st grade me and my friend tried one of the recipes, it had something to do with pineapples…

7. bakugan toys

i don’t remember much but they were really popular in elementary school. i remember my brother got this exact one.

8. pokemon trading cards

i felt like every boy has got this. they were more popular than the bakugan toys and they were made a big deal.

9. silly bandz

of course who didn’t get these! its sad they got banned in 2010.. i think. or was that in Canada

10. shock gum

this was like a prank thing for april fools. i think they came around in 2011

I recently got into Naruto. I remember I saw this show when I was little on Cartoon Network but I didn’t watch it that often. and it has some great animation for 2002-2006. The show is about kids in a Ninja Academy with different teachers who carry out missions for their village. The main characters Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. There are many supporting characters such as their classmates, the village people, and the Hokage(s). My favorite characters are Sasuke, Kakashi, Rock Lee, and Shikamaru. The show is literally revolved Naruto and Sasuke because most scenes show both of them and how their friendship grows. Both of them don’t have an actual family to live with and that’s what made them close friends. Their team got stronger overtime but the plot just gets more interesting.

My only problem with Naruto is that the writer is sexist towards girls because most of them don’t fight at all, they just support or get mad often. For example Sakura only cheers on for Sasuke and Naruto because they can do more than her (physically). However she is top of the class in exams? It is really annoying because she shows up in every episode, along with other girl classmates and they all do the same thing; talk or complain. I don’t want her to be like Naruto and Sasuke but I also don’t want her to not have a part at all. There are many more sexist scenes and that is what people complain about the most…

Despite the problems the show has a good plot and characters to it. The show is not really childish so if you’re looking for a new show for entertainment, you can check it out!

On every school break I’ve never went  anywhere outside of the area, and 95% of the time I don’t hang out with anyone. Thats why its always boring for me, but I managed to make this spring break a little more productive.

First I messed up my sleep time. I started sleeping at 3 a.m. and waking up at 8. I also spent 120 hours on Netflix, crazy ikr? lol… my phone is my best friend. Shows I watched were All American, Orange is the New Black, and htgawm. None of them interested me the most than Naruto. All my weekend I spent watching Naruto, day and night. My favorite characters are Sasuke and Kakashi Sensei but I like everyone else as well. Naruto himself can be relatable but also super annoying.

I also passed my learners test on Friday. Most of the questions were logical so it wasn’t bad. I really want to start driving. On Saturday I volunteered at the community center for a children’s easter egg hunt. There were juniors and sophomores and we managed to help and have a good time! I also went to my friends sisters birthday party. She turned 1!

Easter was yesterday too. Happy Easter btw to those who celebrate!

loveliveserve is the MOST underrated youtube channel with 4m subscribers. The channel was made in 2011 by Rhino/Ryan and Noah (aka Noah Boat) and since then they’ve gradually got popular. They grew up in the DMV (Maryland) and attend Drexel University.

their channel is mostly skits, and all their content is funny and relatable because I’ve laughed at all the videos. My favorite videos are the Embarrassing Songs in the Library ones because they go to different universities and do the prank. I also like the White parents vs. Black Parents videos. Most people might know the video “when the music video doesn’t match the song.” super funny.

They’ve been to our area too. They actually came to Tysons Corner last year for a meetup but got kicked out. I think it’s the only meetup they did and I wish they did one again.

If you heard in Europe there is a big argument over Article 13 which was passed (not entirely) yesterday by the EU. Article 13 is basically removing copyrighted materials from websites including big ones Twitch, YouTube, Google, etc. This decision has been debated for some time now and there have been many protests to it. But of course the EU did not listen to the millions of protests and pages and went ahead to vote for it anyway. This rule could affect many websites, and especially streamers who could stop including memes in their videos. The annoying part is that most of the EU members that voted for this are 70 year olds. The final decision will be made April 9. Worst case scenario is that for websites they would have to find new hosts outside of Europe. This is why every country needs to leave the EU, it’s a corrupt organization funded by the Germans to control Europe.

my favorite youtuber atm is Maximilianmus and I started discovering his content in November. He’s 19 and from Sweden and does overwatch and fortnite (sounds stupid) trolling. Most of his videos are funny but he’s also really toxic. He uses his mic to talk and troll other people and the arguments are so funny. His song “Oh Yeah Yeah” has 11 million views because his subscribers (me) raided all the comment sections on YouTube at one point and reached much attention that it became a meme. I would say he’s successful because reached from 900k to 1m views in 2 days, but he also supports TSeries (kinda ironic because Pewdiepie is from the same country as him) and lost 6k subs on his livestream in 1hr. BESIDES THAT if you’re looking for a youtuber who trolls other players on his team I suggest him. If you’re sensitive I suggest you don’t watch his channel.

I was born and raised for the longest time in Ponte Vedra, FL. It’s in between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, those are popular locations. This week after years I kept thinking about my hometown, and the last time I was there was 2014 (11 yrs old). It started when my brother the other day got a message from his old friend and they knew each other immediately. Some people might think its unusual but I think it’s great how he could can connect to him and update him on life.

I had the happiest time there, maybe it was because I was a kid but I was most happy there than where I am now. My school was 20 mins away from where me and other kids in my neighborhood lived, and every morning and afternoon we would get on the bus playing on our DS’s, trading silly bandz, or listening to the radio music. I also remember when the bus driver would talk on the speaker sometimes. And the kids always would talk about being on the aisle seat or the window seat or in the middle. I preferred window seat mostly and I liked viewing the sea when we crossed the bridge, kinda how I got my love for nature. At school there were Gifted Classes for every grade (1-5) and I was part of it until I moved away.  We would have fun friday and had a pottery class. The school inside was extremely big, it’s like Meadowland and Horizon combined. There was a YMCA across the school and every year we had a program called FunRun and all kids would run a 1 mile lap around the school. This place made everyone do activities and that helped us all become active. A lot of the qualities I had then are ones I don’t have now, like being flexible, communicating well with others, and maintaining long hair (it’s really hard to do so).

Here are some great memories I remember:

My dad told us that he got a job opportunity up in VA so we left, but that wasn’t the actual reason we moved. The main reason was because the school system wasn’t efficient. FL schools rank 41/50 in the nation and

Another reason was because of diversity. Most of the area was white and here’s a stat of it from my school:

I’m kinda sad I left because I miss so many things! My friends, the weather, and the nearby beach especially, but Sterling isn’t that bad compared to Ponte Vedra. I appreciate the diversity and education system up here and I think those 2 things are most important in a community.

I’m going to revisit sometime this year (summer or spring break) and I can’t be more excited.

today is international women’s day and i’m happy to be one (:

the best women that’s influenced me is my mom because she’s been with me the entire time and explained many things to me. 4/6 people in my family are boys. all my siblings are brothers and growing up I kinda felt left out when I wanted to play with them, but my mom is the one around to be near her and some of my friends too.

my friends are mostly girls and we relate to so many things as women: family wise, text wise, and personally too. most of us are also kind to each other that’s a great quality btw so our conversations can be fun!

as women we can connect to a lot of things and problems we got i am really proud to be one!

tame impala is a rock band established in Australia. the lead singer is Kevin Parker and they have been making music since 2008. After many months of listening to them, they have become my favorite rock band. They are not average because every song has a dreamy feeling, I would say psychedelic.

My favorite Album is Lonerism, but there are plenty of good songs that they have made! They’ve made the beat for SKELETONS – Travis Scott, a song lots of people recognize.

Decision making is hard especially when it comes to dropping a passion. Not sure how to feel about this.

I’ve been playing the violin for 5 years now. From 6th grade, my skills over the years since middle school have become much better, but will they go any further after this? As course selections are going on, I’m deciding if I should drop this class for different electives. The reason is because I’m comfortable of where I am right now, I know the basic skills and some advanced. Would I call myself a professional? I’d say I’m right in the middle.  And of course colleges love to see that I did this activity for such a long time, but they also like multiple of them. Therefore I might switch to art journalism..

Anyways, here’s where we currently are:

At the beginning of quarter 3 our original orchestra teacher resigned and Dr. Brewer gave an announcement that there will be a long-term teacher (Mr. Hay) until another teacher is found. He also said that he knows how annoying it is that we haven’t found a teacher that can stay for more than 1 year.

Our spring concert is coming in April and we’re doing 4 pieces of music right now. What I like about them is that they are all different from our previous and more challenging. I like how we have more dynamics and bow movements. The sound is so beautiful too.
