“What kind of cake would you think he’d like?” said Jay. “I think he would like anything but Marmite,” said Lily. “Are you sure? I thought he loved marmite?” said Max. “Not anymore,” Lily said confidently. “Alright, I just don’t want to bake the wrong cake.” said Jay. “Let’s get to it then!” said Lily all excited. “Finally! We finished!” Yelled Max, “YESSS!” screamed Jay. On the day of the party James asked them “What kind of cake did you bake?” “Vanilla, because it’s your favorite.” replied Lily. “No” he said, “I like marmite.” The three friends sat there stunned.

As I read your story, I found it fun to read. I had never thought of using something like Marmite in a cake. It seems his friends didn’t know as much about James as they thought. Well done!
