Ellery and Ezra are sent to their mother’s home town, Echo Ridge, to live with their nana while their mother is in rehab.  They arrive in town during a hail storm and find a body in the middle of the road.  It is the body of a local science teacher that is dead due to a hit and run.  That welcome was just the beginning, as the town has many secrets and mysteries.

The mysteries begin years ago with the disappearance of their mother’s twin, Sarah on their Homecoming Night.  Then fast forward 5 years and another girl and Homecoming Queen, Lacey goes missing and is found dead.  Now the town is involved in yet another mystery as bloody messages, broken dolls, and threats to the current members of the Homecoming court appear around town.

The questions are:  Are all these events connected?  Who will be next?  Will the mystery be solved?   You will need to read the book to find out.

I found this book to be definitely a page turner with many twist and turns, but after one clue was given I had a good idea of who the murderer was.  However, I was surprised by how other aspects of the book played out and the last line – WOW!
