Hello, and welcome to The Dark Room! This is a space where I will be introducing all types of captivating visuals, however, it is no ordinary photography blog! I will also be introducing different types of art mediums that I work on. This includes, but is not limited to, acrylic, watercolor, digital, charcoal, pencil, marker, and oil paintings/drawings. Visuals are very important to share in the world, and I hope that you find something you are drawn (haha) to.
To start, here is a painting that I completed a few weeks ago.
Title: “Golden Days”
Medium: Acrylic
This painting pictures a woman in the shadows reminiscing on a past, more successful and bright version of herself. I tried my best to carry emotion through contrast of the colors.
It took about 3 hours to complete, although I really enjoyed working on this piece.
I hope you enjoy! I’ll be sure to post as often as possible.
That looks great! I almost mistook the face for flowers at first.
Whoaaa that’s such a good painting!!!
This is so good! I love the way the colors contrast, and it has a dreamlike feel to me. Can’t wait to see more!
