Hey everyone! For my first official blog post, I’ll be doing a listicle. My listicle is about all the things I’ve learned in 8th grade. Here is my list of 9 helpful skills I’ve learned in 8th grade.
- Photography
I learned how to use certain angles to get a better shot. This is helpful because it improved my photo taking skills. I also learned how to edit photos, or how to make them bright or darker and more clear.
- Spanish
I learned a few things in Spanish from my Spanish 1 class. I can carry a simple conversation and ask simple questions. I know my colors, numbers, months, and days.
- American Sign Language
I learned some basic signs and I’m teaching myself how to carry a conversation. This would be helpful if I ever need to communicate with someone who has impaired hearing.
- Blogging
I learned how to create a blog and how to use it. I know how to post on it and design it in any way I want. This is useful because I can reach millions of people and spread my thoughts and interests
- Piano
I learned the keys and how to read the music notes. I can look at sheet music and play the song. This is helpful because I can express myself by playing music. It also helps me get out my anger and frustration.
- Art
I learned how to express myself through different types of art. I know how to do mixed media, water color, acrylic, and collages. I use art as therapy for when I feel anxious or depressed.
- Cooking
I learned how to cook certain types of food. I’m still learning how to cook different cultural foods. This is helpful because it is a basic life skill you’re gonna need when you’re living on your own.
- Baking
I know how to bake cakes, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, and a lot of others. I learned this in FACS throughout 7th and 8th grade. In
- Sewing
I learned how to use a sewing machine and how to hand sew. I was taught the basics of hand sewing in 7th grade but I officially learned how to sew in 8th.
