End of Year Reflection

Hey there!  Today I am going to be reflecting on this school year. As my days of being a 7th grader come to an end, I think about the ups and downs of this year.  This will be my last post before summer break and my last post for a school assignment!  Happy reading.

This past year and a half has been very different.  Some highlights of this year are that I got to spend time with my family, and that I was able to learn in the comfort of my own home. Some lowlights of this year are that I didn’t get to play band in person, I didn’t get to interact with peers at school, and I developed worse sleeping habits then I already had.  One thing I learned about myself is that I really stress out over grades and I have a bad obsession were all my grades need to be at least A’s.  I don’t like when my grade books order is messed up with different grade.  This year I also learned about my introverted side.  Covid has worsened my anxiety about being around a lot of people and I also have become more of a homebody.  Something I learned about other people and our country, is that our country can have a really hard time compromising.  At the beginning of Covid our country seemed really divided, but it seems like things are getting better.  Lastly to finish my reflection, I want to remember from this year that time management is important and that school grades don’t have to be perfect.

You made it!  I hope you enjoyed this personal type of post.  If you have any questions, concerns, or blog URLs, then drop them in the comments.  Also, make sure to subscribe to my email list so you know everytime I post.  I hope you guys have a wonderful summer break. 100 word challenge(Flying Turtles??)

Hello everyone!  Today is officially my last 100 word challenge of the school year.  Todays prompt is: I didn’t realize they could fly!  I hope you enjoy the story.  Happy reading!

Every Friday me and the gang get together to play retro video games.  However this Friday was special.  Whoever stayed alive the longest, got to have the rest of the group pamper them for a week.  We were split into teams and each team got 2 tries to make the game go faster.I was paired with Micheal. He’s not the best gamer, but I had faith.  He bounces along the course and runs into a turtle.  He attempts to jump over it, but to his surprise, it blocked him. “I didn’t realize they could fly” he said with a frown.

You made it!  If you couldn’t tell, todays story is exactly 100 words!   If you have any questions, comments, or blog URLs, drop them in the comments  below. Also, suggest things you want me to write about over the summer! Lastly, subscribe to my email list so you know every time a post. As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge(Coopers Cove- Keys Corner News)

Hello everyone!  Today’s 100 word challenge prompt is a picture.  Today is also the 2nd to last 100 word challenge I will be doing of the year.  Although this is sad,  I will look into continuing after this school year.  On a happier note,  in this story I accepted both of my teachers’ added challenges.  She challenged us to make our story a news article and to make it exactly 100 words.   Happy reading!

Earlier today on a mysterious Island named Coopers Cove, we interviewed witnesses of the odd structure at the heart of the island.  Residents of the island say they heard a loud bang that echoed through the whole town.  In search of what made the sound,  people saw a new structure that was not there before.  Being such a tight knit community, rumors spread quickly.  Some people say it is a telescope dropped by the gods, while others say it grew out of the ground to warn them of disaster.  This mystery will remain under investigation and residents take shelter indoors.

Yay you made it!  Hopefully if you enjoyed this story.  I was proud of how quickly I was able to write this story.  If you have any questions, comments, or blog URLs, drop them in the comments below.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for my email list so that you get notified every time I post.  Lastly please comment on any ideas of what you want to see during the summer.  I plan to stay posting content and any ideas would be much appreciated.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge

Today’s 100 word challenge uses 5 words as a prompt.  Oar, Rule, Mushroom, Wistful, Wrinkled.  On top of this challenge, my communications teacher challenged me to write the story like a news report.   Happy Reading!

Today we interviewed a multi millionaire that lives in the most unique way.  Her name is Sally, and she lives in a wrinkled mushroom house.  We asked her why she lived in this house, and she responded instantly.  The woman said, with a wistful look, that this was her grandmother’s.  According to Sally, her grandmother had one rule when she’s gone:  take care of the house.   She let us tour the house, and, to our surprise, every detail was the same as before her grandma passed.  She even has her grandmother’s old oar for kayaking.

100 Word Challenge (Opaque Fate)

Hello everyone!  Today I have overcome my writer’s block!  As you guys may know,  I get my inspiration from books or movies.  Today’s story is based on a book called, The One Safe Place!  This book is eerie and very dystopian.  I remember near the end of the book the main character is in a room in a tower and knows someone is outside the door, but he can’t move.  Anyways, the prompt is: suddenly, darkness enveloped the room.  Happy reading!

I sit in an unfamiliar place and can’t remember who I am.  I hear footsteps and hear them coming from behind the door.  A man behind the door moves closer.  The frosted glass blurs his shadow so that I can’t make out what he looks like.  He knocks on the door and suddenly darkness enveloped the room and my spots dance on the wall. My weight pulls me towards the ground, and my head slams on the floor. I feel my consciousness slip from me and feel helpless.

I hope you enjoyed reading this story!  My goal before the end of the school year is to be featured at least once.  If you have questions, concerns, or blog URLS, drop them in the comments below.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for my email list so that you know everytime I post.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge

Hello everyone!  The 100 word challenge for this week is using a picture prompt.  I am posting this story late because of a little writer’s block, but I at least came up with something to post.  I really have no idea what inspired me to write this, I was just trying to think of a new story I haven’t written yet.  Happy reading.

Today I finally get to show off my art portfolio!  There is a famous artist by the name, Francesco Burtulie, visiting our town today.  I heard through some friends about this opportunity and couldn’t pass it up.  I registered online for the event and it said to meet at Northbridge Road, gate number 29.  As I arrive at the location I see people putting up their paintings and sculptures.  My eyes sparkle at the sight of so many talented artists and I can’t wait to meet them all.

You made it!  If you have any suggestions, questions, or blog URLs, put them in the comments.  Also while you’re down there, tell me if you have ever gotten writer’s block.  Lastly make sure to join my email list so you stay up to date with all of my recent posts.  As always remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge. (I’ve lost count)

Hello everyone!  I am very excited to share today’s story with you.  This week’s prompt is: as it let out a pitiful howl.  When I heard this prompt, instead of thinking of a wolf or animal, I thought of a person.  I tried to be descriptive in this story.  My hope is that with this story I get featured!  Happy reading.

It’s been 100 days, and I’ve started to lose hope.  He still lays on the sterile, cold, white sheets.  I know that inside he is trying to tell me something, but can’t.  I stare at his chapped lips waiting for him to tell me he’s alright, to tell me that he’s there, to tell me I haven’t lost him.  I refocus on his mouth as it lets out a pitiful howl.  I feel a huge wave of hope radiate through my body. Now I know he’s alright, I know he’s there, and I know he’s not ready to go yet.

Yay, you made it.  If you couldn’t tell today’s story was exactly 100 words!  Also if you’re bored, go read a book because the day this is being posted is World Book Day!  Anyways, if you have any questions, concerns, or blog URLs, comment them down below.  And if you enjoyed this post subscribe to my email list so you can read more stories like these. 100 Word Challenge

Hello everybody!  Today I am doing a 100 Word Challenge.  It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve done one.  Today I really tried to be creative and go for a spooky vibe.  This isn’t my usual writing style, but I was watching Knives Out(I love this movie) while writing this, and I felt inspired.  Happy reading.

It is a quarter till midnight with the color purple painted across the sky.  I am delivering a violin case directly to him in the alley behind the pawn shop.  I see a dark figure in the shadows and walk slowly towards it.

“I’m happy to see you here,” he says.

I want to deliver this case without any conflict, but my elephant senses can tell he has other motives.  I place the case on the ground and run.  I look in my peripheral view and see him chasing me.

“I have to kill you,” he shouts.

100 Word Challenge #10

Hello everyone!  Today I am writing about something I just discovered today.  The prompt for today is “ No, I like Marmite.”  If you don’t know what that is, it is a salty, british spread.  If you’d like more info, click this link.  Now enjoy the 10th 100 word challenge.  Happy reading!

“For this year’s annual easter contest, you need to bring me something brown and delicious, “ Said the mayor.  The contestants ran to the closest grocery store in search of the delicious object.  As I reached the entrance of the store, I noticed one man run to a gas station.  What could he possibly get that’s delicious there?  A few minutes later, I am nearing the meeting area.  I notice the man from earlier talking to the mayor, and I overhear their conversation.

“I’m sorry, but I asked for something delicious,” she said to the man.

“No, I like Marmite,” he replied

Thanks for reading this story.  If you have ever tried Marmite, tell me in the comments, “is Marmite good or not?”  While you’re down there, leave a comment and put your blog URL in the chat so I can check it out.  Lastly, make sure to subscribe by email to my blog, so you get notified every time I post.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge #8

Hey everyone!  Can you believe it’s already the 8th story I’ve written for this challenge?  I guess time flies when you’re having fun.  Before you read, I wanted to thank my teacher Mrs. Rombach for subscribing by email to my blog!  Now she will get notified every time I post a new post like this.  Happy reading!

I like to use lots of colors in my art, and today I challenged myself to only use one.  There are so many to choose from, but the orange one spoke first. I dipped the soft bristles into the silky paint.  A meandering trail of light follows the brush along the canvas.  I splattered paint in the blank spaces, and I blended different shades together into one.  The layers of paint created a bumpy texture.    The enthusiasm of this color has inspired me to step out of the box, and think more creatively.
