100 word challenge(Flying Turtles??)

Hello everyone!  Today is officially my last 100 word challenge of the school year.  Todays prompt is: I didn’t realize they could fly!  I hope you enjoy the story.  Happy reading!

Every Friday me and the gang get together to play retro video games.  However this Friday was special.  Whoever stayed alive the longest, got to have the rest of the group pamper them for a week.  We were split into teams and each team got 2 tries to make the game go faster.I was paired with Micheal. He’s not the best gamer, but I had faith.  He bounces along the course and runs into a turtle.  He attempts to jump over it, but to his surprise, it blocked him. “I didn’t realize they could fly” he said with a frown.

You made it!  If you couldn’t tell, todays story is exactly 100 words!   If you have any questions, comments, or blog URLs, drop them in the comments  below. Also, suggest things you want me to write about over the summer! Lastly, subscribe to my email list so you know every time a post. As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge(Coopers Cove- Keys Corner News)

Hello everyone!  Today’s 100 word challenge prompt is a picture.  Today is also the 2nd to last 100 word challenge I will be doing of the year.  Although this is sad,  I will look into continuing after this school year.  On a happier note,  in this story I accepted both of my teachers’ added challenges.  She challenged us to make our story a news article and to make it exactly 100 words.   Happy reading!

Earlier today on a mysterious Island named Coopers Cove, we interviewed witnesses of the odd structure at the heart of the island.  Residents of the island say they heard a loud bang that echoed through the whole town.  In search of what made the sound,  people saw a new structure that was not there before.  Being such a tight knit community, rumors spread quickly.  Some people say it is a telescope dropped by the gods, while others say it grew out of the ground to warn them of disaster.  This mystery will remain under investigation and residents take shelter indoors.

Yay you made it!  Hopefully if you enjoyed this story.  I was proud of how quickly I was able to write this story.  If you have any questions, comments, or blog URLs, drop them in the comments below.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for my email list so that you get notified every time I post.  Lastly please comment on any ideas of what you want to see during the summer.  I plan to stay posting content and any ideas would be much appreciated.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge

Today’s 100 word challenge uses 5 words as a prompt.  Oar, Rule, Mushroom, Wistful, Wrinkled.  On top of this challenge, my communications teacher challenged me to write the story like a news report.   Happy Reading!

Today we interviewed a multi millionaire that lives in the most unique way.  Her name is Sally, and she lives in a wrinkled mushroom house.  We asked her why she lived in this house, and she responded instantly.  The woman said, with a wistful look, that this was her grandmother’s.  According to Sally, her grandmother had one rule when she’s gone:  take care of the house.   She let us tour the house, and, to our surprise, every detail was the same as before her grandma passed.  She even has her grandmother’s old oar for kayaking.

100 Word Challenge (Opaque Fate)

Hello everyone!  Today I have overcome my writer’s block!  As you guys may know,  I get my inspiration from books or movies.  Today’s story is based on a book called, The One Safe Place!  This book is eerie and very dystopian.  I remember near the end of the book the main character is in a room in a tower and knows someone is outside the door, but he can’t move.  Anyways, the prompt is: suddenly, darkness enveloped the room.  Happy reading!

I sit in an unfamiliar place and can’t remember who I am.  I hear footsteps and hear them coming from behind the door.  A man behind the door moves closer.  The frosted glass blurs his shadow so that I can’t make out what he looks like.  He knocks on the door and suddenly darkness enveloped the room and my spots dance on the wall. My weight pulls me towards the ground, and my head slams on the floor. I feel my consciousness slip from me and feel helpless.

I hope you enjoyed reading this story!  My goal before the end of the school year is to be featured at least once.  If you have questions, concerns, or blog URLS, drop them in the comments below.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for my email list so that you know everytime I post.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge

Hello everybody!  Today I am doing a 100 Word Challenge.  It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve done one.  Today I really tried to be creative and go for a spooky vibe.  This isn’t my usual writing style, but I was watching Knives Out(I love this movie) while writing this, and I felt inspired.  Happy reading.

It is a quarter till midnight with the color purple painted across the sky.  I am delivering a violin case directly to him in the alley behind the pawn shop.  I see a dark figure in the shadows and walk slowly towards it.

“I’m happy to see you here,” he says.

I want to deliver this case without any conflict, but my elephant senses can tell he has other motives.  I place the case on the ground and run.  I look in my peripheral view and see him chasing me.

“I have to kill you,” he shouts.

Thank you for reading!  If you have any questions or concerns, leave them in the comments below.  While you’re down there, leave your blog URL so I can check it out.  If you would like to further your support for me, sign up for my email list so you get notified every time I post.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge #10

Hello everyone!  Today I am writing about something I just discovered today.  The prompt for today is “ No, I like Marmite.”  If you don’t know what that is, it is a salty, british spread.  If you’d like more info, click this link.  Now enjoy the 10th 100 word challenge.  Happy reading!

“For this year’s annual easter contest, you need to bring me something brown and delicious, “ Said the mayor.  The contestants ran to the closest grocery store in search of the delicious object.  As I reached the entrance of the store, I noticed one man run to a gas station.  What could he possibly get that’s delicious there?  A few minutes later, I am nearing the meeting area.  I notice the man from earlier talking to the mayor, and I overhear their conversation.

“I’m sorry, but I asked for something delicious,” she said to the man.

“No, I like Marmite,” he replied

Thanks for reading this story.  If you have ever tried Marmite, tell me in the comments, “is Marmite good or not?”  While you’re down there, leave a comment and put your blog URL in the chat so I can check it out.  Lastly, make sure to subscribe by email to my blog, so you get notified every time I post.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge #9

^Prompt photo^

Hello everyone!  Today I have a 100 word writing challenge.  Today’s prompt is a photo!  There was an added challenge to today’s blog post. The challenge was to add a dialogue exchange within your story.  I wanted to push myself, and I am proud of the outcome.  For some odd reason, this story reminds me of a mystery book with kids that solve playground crimes.  Anyways, happy reading!

“Hey, What is that thing?” I said to a girl sitting on a bench.

“Oh, it’s just a statue of a previous mayor,” the girl answered.

“Well, why is he so important?” I questioned.

“I don’t know and I don’t care!  Just because everyone else thinks it’s amazing doesn’t mean it’s true!”  Said the combative girl.

What does she mean by amazing?  This girl was obviously holding a grudge against whoever this man was.  I would probably be wasting my time, but I have to get to the bottom of this.  This is the start of a new adventure! The only problem is where do I start?

Yay, you finished!  Hopefully you enjoyed this story and felt like you were reading the intro of a mystery book.  If you have suggestions or thoughts, leave them in the comments below.  While you’re down there, leave your blog URL if you have one so I can check it out. Also don’t forget to subscribe to my email list so you never miss a post.  As you guys know, I change my blog theme often.  If you want me to draw something specific for spring, let me know.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge #8

Hey everyone!  Can you believe it’s already the 8th story I’ve written for this challenge?  I guess time flies when you’re having fun.  Before you read, I wanted to thank my teacher Mrs. Rombach for subscribing by email to my blog!  Now she will get notified every time I post a new post like this.  Happy reading!

I like to use lots of colors in my art, and today I challenged myself to only use one.  There are so many to choose from, but the orange one spoke first. I dipped the soft bristles into the silky paint.  A meandering trail of light follows the brush along the canvas.  I splattered paint in the blank spaces, and I blended different shades together into one.  The layers of paint created a bumpy texture.    The enthusiasm of this color has inspired me to step out of the box, and think more creatively.

Hopefully you enjoyed this week’s blog post!  If you have feedback or thoughts, comment them down below.  While you’re down there, leave your blog URL if you have one so I can check it out.  If you would like to get notified every time I post, then subscribe by email in the sidebar.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

100 Word Challenge #7

Hey everyone!  I have another 100 word challenge for you.  Today’s story is based on medieval times, and inspired by rapunzel.  I hope you enjoy the story because I really enjoyed writing this one.  If you like these challenges, make sure to enter your email in the sidebar so you get notified every time I post.  The five prompt words for this week are balloon, brown, frightening, never, and kicked. Happy reading!

With the invention of the hot air balloon,  it was easier to travel to other territories, and I had no clue how to work such equipment. I was sent on a quest to retrieve a brown satchel from an enemy nation traveling by balloon.  This job was frightening, and I never imagined I would be chosen by the king for this daunting  journey. As a young lad I was kicked around and told I would become an old servant.  I have defied thy destiny and shall not let my past stand in the way of thy future.

One Little Word

The word I chose was soul.  I chose this word for many reasons.  Soul is my middle name and I think fits me perfectly.  I chose soul because this year I want to take care of my mental health and live each day to the fullest.  I chose to draw things around Soul that represent what I want to accomplish this year.

I think this word will inspire me this year because it has a special meaning to me.  Soul is a part of who I am and knowing my word is soul will make me feel obligated to complete my goals for myself.  Knowing that this word has lots meaning, completing my goals for this year will make me feel much more accomplished.  With all of that being said I need to make sure that I plan out my goals so I can accomplish them efficiently. The plan will be simple but effective.

My plan will consist of three parts.  My first part will include my self care.  I want to try and keep up with my skin care and I want to watch my food intake and make sure I eat foods that make me feel good.  The second part of my plan is to take care of my soul/spirit.  I will try to meditate more and make sure I have time to think to myself.  Lastly I want to keep myself on top of things.   I want to make myself be more productive and plan out my activities more.  I want to stay on top of posting content on social media and I want to make sure I practice dance regularly.

Thanks everyone for reading!  In this blog post I really wanted to get my point across of why I chose this word.  This word has a lot of meaning and I hope you guys think of your own words and how they will help you.  Comment down below what your favorite part of this post was and while you’re down there leave your blog URL so I can check it out.
