How to make a more visually appealing username online.

This is a little bit of notes to my classmates. If you do not wish to read keep scrolling.

Dear Doc and Doc’s class,

I have had a short yet fun ammount of time with you all. I am appreciative of all of you and feel as if you are all my new friends that I may never see again. I wish you all good luck in your studies. Due to complications in my life as of 3rd quarter I will most likely be leaving public schools and be homeschooled to further my advancements and start college early. I hope you all have enjoyed my company although I have been a burden on many. You guys make me feel at home.

Thank you,

Travis

I plan to upload a blog every now and then to talk to you all. So please stay tuned in.

How to make a more visually appealing username online.

Everyone has seen “that” guy with a name like xXKingKillerXx while playing online. Every single name online expresses a person in there own different ways. It can become an eyesore everytime you see the same type of name. Some of the most common names start with King, xX, Ninja and Killer so I recommend to try and avoid those terms. Here are a few ways to make yourself look more creative and unique while playing online.

Step 1. Be Uncommon

When creating an online username you should fine subtle ways to express yourself. Are you crazy? Are you passionate? Are you strong or weak? What defines you? It could be many words but you should select your favorite out of them. Once you’ve characterized yourself a little bit get more creative. My favorite thing when characterizing myself if looking up synonyms for a words and finding the most uncommon one. Here are some examples.

  • Passionate = Fervent
  • Crazy = Deranged
  • Fast = Swift
  • Strong = Sturdy

Step 2. Be Unique

When creating an online username you should use more words. The more words you use the more unique you become. Although at a point using longer words can become a hassle. Here is a quick example using my online username.

✔ FerventOrange or 🚫 FerventedOrangling

Your name should be quick and unique. It should also be able to characterize yourself a little bit.

For example…  Fervent means Passionate and Orange is my favorite color. Therefor I have a passion for the color orange.

If your name is too long it can be harder on your team or friends to give call outs or helpful advice quickly. I would always recommend 2 short worded names.

Step 3. Subtle facts

When online you should express yourself. Give everyone a small taste of what you like. For this step I would always recommend something that you like, It either being a treat, a color or even an animal. Hence the word orange in my username. This gives your prior characteristic something to characterize. Here are some examples…

  • DerangedTiger
  • SturdyGrape
  • SwiftTurtle
  • FerventOrange

Although these are all pretty simple they are still examples of characterizing an object.

Step 4. Play around

When creating your final name play around with it. Make something unique or weird. You could even characterize something with a characterization it should not have. From the prior examples be a little bit deranged. You could even make something that doesnt make sense, like…

  • SwiftTurtle (Fast Turtle)
  • DerangedSloth (Crazy Sloth)

Then you can question yourself. Why would there be a fast turtle? Or a crazy sloth? Its not about a fast turtle or a crazy sloth. From those names I could figure out that you like to be fast and your favorite animal is most likely a turtle.

Step 5. Check if anyone else has the name

How much would it suck if you spent many minutes coming up with the most perfect name just to find out that it isnt unique. Mess around and look for your new name on the internet and see if anyone else uses it. If it is found in many places then I suggest you find a new name.

When I looked up FerventOrange only 6 versions of my names popped up. BUT all of them were owned by me. 2 being my youtube channels, 1 being a game website, 1 being a forum and 2 for online social club accounts.

Step 6. Be SAFE

In this step you NEED to be safe. When creating your name do not give out your name, location, age or year you were born. You should do a google search to make sure your information IS SECURE.

Thank you all for reading, If you’d like go ahead and create a unique name and leave it in the comments.

The New Rules For FPS

Rainbow 6 Siege

On December 1st 2015 Ubisoft developers announced their newest game to the Rainbow 6 gaming genre.

Rainbow Six : Siege

Most Rainbow 6 games take place as you playing as an “Operator” or a character with a select tools and abilities in a single player FPS (First Person Shooter). Unlike the previous Rainbow 6 games, Rainbow Six : Siege take you into an immersive online 5v5 realistic FPS where destruction is your very best friend.

Lets quickly contrast Past Rainbow games to Siege.

Rainbow 6 Classics: Single Player, Mission based, No destruction, preset NPC’s and low unrealistic graphics.

Rainbow Six : Siege: Multiplayer, 5v5, Massive destructible capabilities and high realistic graphics

What Siege also brings to the table.

With Siege bringing in the new FPS games unlike the Call Of Duty franchise, They are also bringing along the idea of allowing the player to alter the map and be able to choose a “Hero” or “Operator” with a select ability.

Some examples of these Operators

Ash: Ash is a 3 speed Operator (Fastest in the game) That carries around a Rocket propelled breaching charge that can break through unreinforced walls leaving a massive hole in it.

Doc: Doc is a 1 speed Operator (The Slowest in the game) That brings along a Stimulation pistol that can heal or revive allies.

What else?

Each operator comes with their own guns and abilities. Every single gun in the game is customizable to the players liking including the weapons athstetics.

Since Siege is 5v5 you can play WITH your friends (If you have any).

Currently you can play over 40 different operators

And thats about it

The Rotting World Of Online Gaming

Before you start. I am NOT hating on gamers.

The Slowly Rotting World Of Gaming

Every year new games are released, But what comes with the game?

Every game that is released has these players. From every Realistic FPS to MMOś we have Toxic Players. These players enjoy hurting others, They are the equivalent to bullies in schools. In every single online game we have people who feast of others pain, Either by discouragement or lies. Here are 3 different types of toxic players and the effects they have.

1.)  The Release Wave

When a game is released we have people who are either against or for it. The people who are against it try to lure people away from the game by telling lies. They do this either by complaining on websites or ingame to other players. These players will complain about every single aspect of the game. They complain about everything about the game to make players think it is a bad game. Most of these people trying to lure people away come when the game first comes out.

2.) The Ingame players

Some people either bought the game to enjoy it or to criticize it. Although some people who intended on “Enjoying” it may have fallen from expectations. These critics will buy the game just to join other players and tell them how much it sucks. I personally cant believe that people will buy the game just to tell people its bad. These are dedicated “toxic” players.

3.) The “CyberBully”

These types of toxic players will go online and target a person or persons. They will try to make people quit the game 1 by 1 trying to make the players feel bad or feel insecure. There goal is to make their own amusement and make them seem superior to you. Most times you will find these people talking in the ingame chat usually downgrading someones skills. For example they may call someone a “Noob” (Someone who is generally new or not very skilled).

Just Ignore them…

Most games now try to help people with stopping toxic players. Such as Rainbow six siege, They have implemented a reporting system, a mute system and an automatic ban system for any racist or homophobic comments. Most online games will come with implemented systems like these I just listed.
