The Silent Finger

By: Adhya Ravikumar

In a world of my memories

I thought of it as an illusion

An incident my mind had created

There at the crook of my neck

I had felt it

An airy …………………..

Almost comforting touch of a finger

My adrenaline was coursing through me like a roller coaster

The smell of fear and mystery drenched my senses

The sound of my heart beating as loud as a thousand drums echoed throughout the room

Ba Dum – Ba Dum…..

I was paralyzed

Too weak to move….

I tried recollecting my thoughts

But soon realised it was futile

Years after,

I still think about it

If it was truly a spirit

Would I ever feel its airy touch again?
