It’s unfortunate to announce that the American Novelist behind “The Princess Bride,” William Goldman, has passed away today. William Goldman was only 96 years old. During the last years of his life, Goldman’s health deteriorated due to illness, and it only got worse as the summertime came. Goldman wasn’t just a popular novelist, as he was also a legendary Hollywood screenwriter, being behind movies such as The Sundance Kid. Goldman also wrote scripts for The Marathon Man, All the President’s Men, and Chaplin. On top of making movie scripts, he also made a memoir regarding the things that go down in the movie business, called Adventures In The Screen Trade. William Goldman will be remembered as one of the greatest and most notable screenwriter in the history of Hollywood.
